Baskin Robbins
(pronounced Baskin & Robbins if your from the north)
Heck yeah we went to our local BR for 31 cent scoop night tonight! It was great. The firefighters were scooping all of the ice cream and they even had their fire trucks parked outside in the parking lot! It was pretty crowded, but totally worth the $1.99 that we spent! Hayden even got to put a donation in the bin by the register.

The whole thing is a fundraiser for the fire department.

Hayden got Very Berry Strawberry ice cream. She even got her first cold headache! I felt bad, but it was a tiny bit funny to watch....I mean that in the most loving way possible.

Cardiologist Visit
Today, Hayden had a cardiologist visit. At her last pediatrician appointment the doctor found a heart murmur and suggested that we take her to the cardiologist. They did a ton of tests and we went to three different rooms! Hayden was perfectly behaved and just took everything in. The doctor, who was super nice, said that it was nothing to worry about and we should come back in a few years for a check up. So, thank the Lord, everything is wonderful with Miss Hayden. We did get an updated height and weight on her today too. 21 pounds and 31 inches tall.

Afternoon Nap
Pappy flew in this morning around 7:30. He'll be here until Monday. We played so hard this morning that Pappy had to take an afternoon nap, just like Hayden!

Raw Zucchini!?
Last night Hayden was watching (as usual) while I was making dinner. Thanks to a tip from Rachel Ray, I have a garbage bowl near me while I am cooking. Hayden decided to reach in the garbage bowl and munch on the end of a zucchini! She really enjoyed it.

Double Binkin'
Tonight Hayden ventured back to the nursery while we were both in the family room. When she came back this is what she looked like! What a nut.

Hayden gives some of the best hugs! She has such a sweet heart.

Chocolate Chip Cookie!
As you can see, Hayden loves chocolate.....but what woman doesn't!?

When we were in Grove City visiting Marmee she gave us a very easy cookie recipe. I tried it out last night and the cookies weren't too bad! Here's the recipe:

1 box of cake mix (any flavor)

2 eggs

1/2 cup oil

That's it! Just bake them like you would bake regular cookies (375 for 8-10 minutes). Last night I used yellow cake mix and put chocolate chips in too. With all of the mix ins and cake mix flavors I feel like the possibilities are endless!

You will also notice that the pictures look a lot clearer. I was telling Jerm that the pictures looked hazy. I thought that a setting was changed or something. He looked at it yesterday and found that there was a huge smudge finger print on the camera lens. Now that he cleaned it off the pictures look great!

Mommy pregnancy update: The other week when I went to the doctor I had that sugary blood test done (refer to the last ultrasound picture if you don't know what I am talking about). They called me today to say that my glucose levels were low and I am anemic. So, I just have to take some prescription once a day and everything should be ok. Just proves that every child and pregnancy is different!

Dress from Daddy
This is the dress that Jeremy brought back from Zimbabwe last summer. One of the missionaries wives made it especially for Hayden! She wore it to church today because it was Mission Emphasis Day. It's a day to let the church know about all of the mission opportunities that are available through the church. It's also a chance to raise some money for missions. Like the pigtail look? It's her new style!

Do Better Mat
At preschool Hayden has a "do better mat" in her class. That's where the kids sit when they have to think about what they did wrong. It's not a good thing! Well, today Hayden was not listening to me so I asked her if she needed to sit on the do better mat and she shook her head yes. Well, we don't have a do better mat so I just sat her on the floor for a minute. She knew exactly what to do and she didn't try to get up until I told her to.

She did think it was kind of funny. Later tonight she sat down in the do better place again. Not sure why. I think she likes it!

Sister...
We had an ultrasound today. Everything is just fine with the growing little one. Here is a profile picture of miss Hayden's little sister.

Grove City Visit on Friday
Grandma, Tember, Hayden, and I went to Grove City to visit with Marmee (Hayden's great-grandma) on Friday. We had lunch with Marmee and then traveled all around Grove City and Slippery Rock in order to see other family members. It was a great day and Hayden was well behaved.
Here she is having a Klondike for dessert!

Marmee has a nursery in her house. It's filled with all of the toys that her youngest son, Andy, played with when he was little. I played with these toys when I was little. And, Hayden got to play with all of these toys on Friday!

Rock rock.
Hayden had a blast. And Marmee enjoyed watching her great-granddaughter having fun.
A little record player.
What a great visit!

Tutus and Bubbles
Grandma, Tember, and I made Hayden a tutu on Thursday. She couldn't wait until it was done!

When she has her tutu on Hayden dances around in a circle just like the dancing doll that she sees on the computer!

She stopped twirling for a while so she could blow some bubbles.

Thursday at the Children's Museum
Hayden had a wonderful time at the Children's Museum. There was so much for her to do! I couldn't believe it.
Here she is in the Water Room. They had little rain coats and boots for the kiddies to wear. She had a blast.

Water was everywhere!

Tember took Hayden down all of the slides in the place (there were only two). Once they went down the slide we had to leave the room because that's all Hayden wanted to do!

They had a special room for babies and toddlers. Lots of hands on activities.

Sand table.
Rice Table.
More water.
Some boat thing that Tember made Hayden participate in. Hayden wasn't too sure about the outfit though.

Puppies!!
Sadie's silky terrier puppies are around 5 weeks old now. Hayden was very gentle with them....for the most part.

She thought that Sadie and Sydney were Mazie. She also thought that Max was Grady. It was a confusing week for her at times.

Tuesday's Trip to the Park
On Tuesday we went to the park that had duck ponds, bison pastures, swings, walking trails, and lots more.
Here is Tember singing songs to Hayden on the way. All eyes were on Tember!

Family photo by the duck pond.

The sibs.
All smiles.....
All week long.
Here she is in the swing at the park. She loved to "swing swing".

Pittsburgh Zoo
On Monday we all went to the zoo! The weather was great and Hayden LOVED seeing all of the animals.
Here she is watching some of the fish in the aquarium part.

She got to throw all of Pap's money into the pond.

She liked watching the penguins swim right by her face.

Looks like "Underwater Friends" is going to be a good theme for her 2nd birthday party. I have already begun some of the planning since I will have my hands full with another baby in a few months!

Headed home after a long day of walking at the zoo.

She learned how to roar like the lions. She had already learned it from the computer, but it was neat for her to see them in real life.

Hayden just had to point at everything.
I guess she learned it.....
The trainer was cleaning some elephants.
Three generations of girlies!
