Layners Birthday Cake!

We celebrated Layne's birthday a little early because Jerm's parents are going to Zimbabwe for a few weeks. The theme was Strawberry Shortcake. Layne picked out her own cake and I made it for her.

Re-Organizing the Nest!

I really don't remember nesting at all with Hayden or Layne, but I totally am with Gwynn. I found this awesome blog that gave some great organization tips.....here it is in case you're interested!
Here's part of the newly organized pantry!

The other half of the pantry. Everything is so clear and neat and clean!

Laundry room top shelf. Need something? Now you know exactly where to look!

My craft closet, which is the top part of Gwynn's armoire. Once again, everything labeled so I know exactly where to find my beloved crafting supplies!

Under the girls sink. They helped me a lot with this room. We did the drawers too, but I'm only capturing the main stuff! Now the question is....how long will the bins look this neat and tidy?!

Master closet....I've always had a hard time keeping my sweaters, sweatshirts, and hoodies neat and organized! Not anymore!!

One of the drawers in our bathroom. I can't stand counter clutter.......

But will Jeremy be able to keep his side of the counter de-cluttered?
I also did the kitchen drawers, my sock, bra, and underwear drawer, all bathroom drawers and cabinets, coat closet, and a little of Jeremy desk. This was ALL in a day! Not sure what I'll do tomorrow!

Playhouse Loft Bed!

Here it is!! The beautiful bed that daddy built! He saved up all of his extra cash so that he could build this bed that I found on Pinterest. Isn't he the greatest?! They are in love with it. They organized their "house" and helped with the sheets up top.

The steps aren't finished yet. There are going to be drawers under each step! It's going to be awesome.

Playing Catch Up!

Our thursday night playgroup had an artist/teaching come in and walk us through how to paint this beautiful painting. It was only $25 and she supplied everything!

I added little ladybugs to mine and used the colors of Gwynn's room. I was happy with how it turned out.

Grandma and Pap stopped by on Monday night/Tuesday on their way to Florida. Here we are at iHop eating breakfast before they headed out. It was a short but great visit. We'll see grandma very soon. She's going to be back after she helps Sep and Morgan with 4th of July at Snoballs!! And she said she'd stay as long as we want her to!!

Hayden at our pinterest group last Thursday when we painted the mouse trap magnets. she wanted paint on her nose!

Yep, sister too!

More Crafting Gifts!

A sweet friend is having her baby shower this weekend. I wanted to get her something a little different. Of course, I found this idea on Pinterest! It's a little bag that she can take with her to the hospital when she goes to have the baby! Inside is granola bars, M&M's, hair bands, sanitizer, mints, lip balm, and a magazine.
This is another one of her gifts. They are 5 little newborn onesies rolled up to look like cupcakes! It's another Pinterest idea....I can't take full credit.
I am also going to do her cake for the shower. It's going to be really cute....you'll have to check out pictures of the cake later in the week!
I have some outstanding leaders that work beside me in the Discover Kids ministry. They are just amazing women. The latest leadership challenge for all of them is to plan one of our 4 summer events. They team up to get the job done. I wanted to give them each something special after their event is completed. This is what I came up with. It's a prayer board! I picked up the picture frames from The Dollar Tree, mini dry erase markers from Target, embellishments and scrapbook paper from Michael's, and I had the ribbon. Hopefully, they will get some good use out of their weekly prayer boards!

Father's Day Adventure!

Our last stop of the day was to Publix to get milk. As I sat in the car with the girls waiting for daddy to come out I noticed how close my tummy was to the steering wheel! Yikes....not much room left! I went to the doctor on Friday and I am 1 cm dilated already! I think that's pretty good for 35 weeks along. Maybe she'll come on her own AND come a little early!

Hayden posing on the rocks outside of Bass Pro Shop!

The girls modeling some summer hats.

Oh, this was such a great sight. Big puffy recliners that rocked and best of all....were empty! I told Jeremy that there wasn't much of a question about his reading material. He was just wasting his time cause he is a redneck for sure!

I told him that this was the happiest I have ever been seeing camo! It was so comfy and cozy....I could have fallen asleep right then and there.

Don't you just love Jeremy's shirt?! I found it on Etsy!!

Walking in Your Shoes

I had some of these pictures framed for Jeremy's father's day gift. Then I put the saying "With every step, I try harder to walk in your shoes" in one of the picture spaces.

Our Get-Away

We traveled up to Lake Hartwell this week and stayed in a friend's vacation home on the lake. We had NO idea the house was going to be this beautiful. It was just absolutely amazing....inside and out.

It rained for the first two days. But as soon as it cleared up we headed to the dock.

The girls really wanted to go fishing with daddy. So, he took turns fishing with each of them.

Then it was time to wade in the water. This picture was Hayden's idea. She said, "Why don't we take one of us looking at each other mommy!?"

One day we headed to South Carolina to a Botanical Garden. There was a lot of walking....so we didn't see much. But we did stop at the hydrangea garden! I LOVE hydrangeas!!

She just had to smell every single flower. She said "Mmmmm" whether it had a smell or not!

These butterfly bushes were just beautiful and huge!

On the way home from SC we stopped at the Hartwell Dam. It was pretty cool.

Then we stopped at another spot so that we could walk on top of the dam. The walk was pretty.....but very long!! I just told them to go ahead and not worry about me staying with them.

One day Jeremy took the girls (one at a time) out on a canoe so that they could fish together. Hayden caught her first fish!! She was VERY nervous about holding the line.

Another day daddy and the girls went swimming in the lake together.

It looks like Hayden is being very brave and going down the slide onto the water.....but that was not the case. She was pretty terrified. I held her the whole way going down and then just gently dropped her into the water.....Oh well.

It was a nice last family of four get-away.
