Hershey Kisses Candy Corn Cookies

I don't even know how I stumbled on the fact that Hershey's makes candy corn kisses. But, once I saw that along with a cookie recipe I HAD to make them. Here are a few pictures of the kisses. I was experimenting with the focus. I love pictures that are kind of blurred but have something specific in focus. I am sure there is a special name for that technique, but I don't know it!

I don't even really like candy corns and the Hershey kisses aren't too good either, but I just loved the idea that these kisses were thought up and created!

My little chef helped me out with the baking. Here she is rolling one of the cookie balls in oats.

Here she is spitting out the oats after she licked a spoon. Daddy doesn't like oats either.

This is what Layne did while we worked in the kitchen.
Hayden unwrapped some kisses, put the wrapper in the Rachel Ray garbage bowl, and put the kisses in this bag. We had to melt them eventually. Hayden has very clammy hands (just like her mother) and she melted a few as she was unwrapping them. We said, "Oh well!"
The special treat because she was such a good little helper.
Looks just like chewed up candy corn to me...even though it's white chocolate.
And finally, the finished product! If you'd like to give this recipe a try, it's on the back of the Hershey kisses bag. I found the Candy Corn Kisses at Kroger....word on the street is that Target has them also! More Autumn baking to come.....
