German Chocolate Cake
German chocolate birthday cake for some church friends. This is my second attempt at a German chocolate cake. The first one I did for my dad's birthday in December and the icing didn't thicken-it was a mess. For this one I forgot to flour the cake pans and half of the cake layers stuck inside the pan! So, I had to make all of the cakes again. What a mess! It's a three layer cake with two layers of coconut pecan filling. the middle layer is torted (cut in half) with chocolate fudge filling in the middle. I hope they enjoy it!
