Chillin' on the HUGE Chair
We are spending the next 4 days at Pappy's house! Today we hung out at his pool and ran some errands. Tomorrow is a big family get together so we are trying to get ready for that. Don't worry-we will take some pictures!
Here's Hayden on Pappy's big leather chair. She just sinks right into it.

More Vacation Fun!

On Tuesday we took a trip over to John's house to take a swim. Here were are blowing bubbles in the pool. Hayden never did get the hang of it. She would always open her mouth and drink the water instead!

We were in the pool for so long that Hayden's feet got all wrinkled! Here she is sitting pool side with Gram.
Hayden now has her own little sun chair to sit in while we are at the beach. What a little princess!
Here's Hayden with Auntember (Aunt September). Hayden is just in love with her. We think that she thinks September is mommy a lot of the time. They have the best time together!
Here's the set up for Hayden's time at the beach. She has a little beach tent with a huge towel underneath, her puffs cereal, blue chair, ball with ribbons, and apple juice! What an ordeal it is to take this child to the beach!
Pondering as she listens to the waves....

Like I said, what a little princess!

Here is our set up at the beach. We have a lot of stuff too!
Hanging out with Mommy.

Hayden just loved sitting in the ocean with Gram at the end of the beach day today. Everyone is having the best time relaxing at the beach. Hayden and I do miss daddy though! We can't wait until he gets here next week!

First Day at the Beach
We arrived in Treasure Island, Florida on Sunday afternoon. Monday was our first day on the beach. Here are a few shots from Monday.
When we were ready to go up for the day I stripped Hayden down and took her into the ocean for one last rinse off.

Here she is with Uncle Johnny. He's feeding her puffs and letting her drink some apple juice.

She hung out with Pap some while we were in the ocean. He is so tall that the waves didn't splash her in the face when she was with him!
She really liked the waves and she didn't even think that the salt water was that bad.
As you can see.....she doesn't mind the tasty salty water.

More of the Recycling Bin
Recently, we bought a lot of bottled water for a product party that I hosted. So now most of the recycling bin is filled with empty water bottles and Hayden loves it. I know that you will notice how neatly the bottles are stacked in the container so I am just going to explain myself from the beginning. I am a little, let's use the word "particular" about certain things-especially in the kitchen. I'm not really sure why, but I like for the recycling to be neat and orderly. Maybe it's because I have students in to tutor and I would like things in the kitchen to be in order. I guess that doesn't explain all of the labeled baby food section in my pantry though! I'm just a little anal about the house ok...there I said it! Just watch the video!

Mommy's Mess This Time!
Today, I went through my closet because AADD, Atlanta Alliance on Developmental Disabilities, called. They wanted to know if we had any clothes or items to donate. I told the lady that I was sure I could find something....and that's exactly what I did.
Hayden just sat and played with all of the different fabrics as I piled stuff up around her. It's it so sad how much "stuff" we have that we don't need!

What A Mess!
That's something that Hayden is very good at-making a mess. Here she is leaving the scene of the crime after she finished getting into the recycling container in the kitchen.

Jeremy asked her when she would be old enough to pick up after herself. She just ignored him and kept crawling!

Sag Buster...
Since Hayden has such a small little waste all of her pants fall off. So, I finally decided that I was going to do something about it once and for all! I borrowed Angie's sewing machine and got to work. All the belts are reversible and Hayden just loves to chew on them when they're not holding up her pants. Notice her hand in the bottom left corner of the picture!
We went to the grocery store today and she had the pink flower belt on with her jeans. We could barely even finish our grocery shopping because so many people stopped us to admire her new belt. Well, nobody really stopped us but that's because they didn't see the belt since she was sitting in the cart. But, I'm pretty darn sure they would have stopped us if they would have seen her belt!

Spaghetti Anyone?
Lately, we have been smashing up some of the food that we eat to let her have a taste. Today Hayden sampled some of mommy's fruit and daddy's spaghetti! She love to pick it up with her little fingers and put it in her mouth. It's always a pretty messy process.

Blowing Bubbles

She just loves blowing those 4th of July bubbles. I don't have the heart to tell her that the 4th of July is only one day and it's over!

Barrier
We now have to put this gate up so that Hayden won't crawl into the laundry room (that's where we keep the dogs at night and it gets kind of dirty in there). Last night Hayden decided that she was still going to try and get in there!

This is How it Works...

Here's Hayden explaining to Angie how the CD player works. She tried to show Angie how to sing too. Little Mazie has to be the center of attention when we have company. Ok, you're right-Mazie knows that the only way she will get some attention is by begging for it when company is around!

Hayden also wanted to show Angie how to read. I guess we didn't tell Hayden that Angie is a school teacher and took music classes in college!

No reading, singing, or girlie talk for Kenneth. He just got down on the floor with her and wrestled. No, not really, but he did play with her.

Peek-a-Boo
Hayden was playing peek-a-boo using the laundry basket tonight. She didn't know what she was doing but it looked like peek-a-boo to me!

She then decided to play drums on the laundry basket. She will pull up on anything that will allow her to!

Adopt-a-School
Our church is getting more involved in the community and one of the ways we are doing it is by adopting a school. Our group is called the School Samaritans and we have chosen to adopt Davis Middle School this year. Today we put on our first event for the teachers-a dessert bar. We had some much fun doing it and we think it was a huge success!

So many ladies from our church baked away in order to provide a variety of sweets for the staff members to snack on.

Here are the teachers and other staff members enjoying the sweet treats.

An Even Cooler Buddy!
I put Hayden on the bathroom counter while I dried my hair this morning and she had a great time! She took some really cute pictures in the process of playing.
Here she is dancing with her new friend Mirrora.

Patty Cake with Mirrora

Notice the purple thing on my toothpaste. It's awesome! It squeezes all the toothpaste out as you slide it down the tube. No more messy mashed up toothpaste tubes for me!

Oh yeah, Mirrora can even stand just like Hayden!

I Love My Daddy
After I feed Hayden in the morning she crawls over to hang out with daddy before he has to go to work for the day.

Here they are watching our friends on Fox5 News. No cartoons for this one in the morning. She likes to know what's going on in the world. She really is resting her chin on Jeremy's hand!

July 25, 2007

Big Girl Baby Food
We are transitioning Hayden to stage 3 baby food. Some of the meals have little soft pieces of food in them and Hayden isn't too sure about it as you will see.....

Super Cute!
I had to take a picture of her outfit today because I think it's super cute! I always try to find shirts in her closet that will match with her fuschia shorts because they are my favorite. This is a shirt that Pappy bought her. It's a racer back tank.

Hayden's favorite way to drink now is through a straw. So, I found this sippy cup that has a silicone straw! It's just perfect and she loves it.

Mmmm Mmmm good!

Found a New Friend
Jeremy and I were in the kitchen cooking this afternoon so Hayden was entertaining herself. While she was playing on the kitchen floor she met a new friend. I'm not sure what her name is but I think I heard Hayden call her Suds.

They played together standing up and sitting down. Hayden just loved playing with Suds because she did everything Hayden did!

When it was time to say goodbye Hayden had to give Suds a kiss!

Neighborhood Website!
Jeremy and I have been making more of an effort to get to know our neighbors recently. We did the cookout in June (pictures were posted), I am putting together a monthly newsletter, and now we are on the web!! I love doing all of this because it keeps me busy and I like getting to know the people we live so close to!
Check out the site and let me know what you think. The craziest thing about Microsoft Office Live is that it's totally free!!!
Airplane Socks!
The poor girl gets little red knees from all the crawling she does. When I was folding laundry yesterday I found these socks that the airline gave Jerm during his flight to London or Zimbabwe. So, I put them on Hayden's legs in order to protect her little knees. She didn't mind them at all and they looked so funny I had to take a few pictures!

Happy Anniversary!

Today Jeremy and I have been married for 4 years! It has all gone by so fast. Each day though has been confirmation to me that I really did marry my soul mate and the one God intended for me. God has blessed us with such a wonderful marriage and a beautiful baby girl. Happy Anniversary to us!
