In The Burgh
Well, Hayden and I made it to Pittsburgh on Saturday. It was quite an experience though. Whitney took us to the airport and the AirTran line was unbelievably long. I had already done electronic check in, so all I had to do was give them the bag that I was checking. After asking an AirTran worker where to go-showing her that I had a baby in a stroller and one on the way-I was given no assistance or special treatment. So, I made the decision to take the bag that I was going to check. So I had a baby, stroller, purse, diaper bag, and rolling carry-on bag to deal with. The security line was very long, but we made it through. I guess that since it was so busy the air port workers didn't offer help to anyone. I was on my own! After getting through the security line and going down the elevator I realized that I had forgotten my rolling carry-on at the security check! So, we had to find our way back to the security check point so that I could get all of our clothes for the week. I got them and headed to our gate. Once we were on the plane, taxing for the runway Hayden looked at me and said, "poo poo"! Well, she indeed did have a poo poo diaper but there was nothing that I could do about it for a while. So, I ended up breaking the rules a little and making a break for the bathroom before the seat belt light was turned off. But I didn't get in trouble! I changed her on the toilet and that was an experience! She was very good on the plane and everything went well. Thankfully there was a teenage boy across the isle that kept Hayden busy. She enjoyed flirting with him! Then we met up with Johnny before going to meet mom and Bernie. Mom and Bernie didn't know that Johnny was coming in too. Then we headed to meet them. When we got there September was there too! She had surprised me! So, the whole fam is in for a visit! I got sick pretty much as soon as we got back to the house. Hayden's preschool class had a virus that was going around. Hayden caught a little bit of it with all of her poo poo diapers, but she passed all of it on to mommy. So, I was sick all Saturday and Sunday. But I am feeling much better today. No pictures yet, but now that I am 100% we will be doing lots of fun things and taking some great pictures.

Here is one of Hayden's friends from school, Darin. As you will see she loves her school friends!

Art Show
Here is video that I shot before all the parents arrived tonight for the Art Show. It was a huge success! As you will see, the teachers and students worked very hard to put this event on. They did an amazing job! Now we have a week off to recover from the evening!

Hayden's Art Show Piece
Here is Hayden's finger painting that she did for the art show. We already have a place in her room picked out!!

The artist herself!

An Artist at Work
Please excuse her messy hairstyle today. She is also sporting her homemade apron. The same woman that made Hayden's first diaper bag made this apron just for her.

The Completed Room!
I feel like I need to explain my heavy breathing in this video. We have a special microphone that picks up every since noise and it was attached to the camera and pointing backwards. So, it picked up every single breath i took! I really don't breathe that heavily....even though I am 6 months pregnant.

Oops...
Today while Hayden was drawing on her dry erase board she got a little marker on her face.

Grocery Shopping
Hayden and I went grocery shopping yesterday morning. She decided to help me bring the bags in! Also, check out her second toe on her left foot. That always seems to happen when she wears these sandals. Not sure how or why she does it!

This morning it was all about her bunny ears that she got from pop and grandma for Easter.

Blowing Bubbles!?
Hayden loves bubbles. She doesn't really understand what to do with the bubble wand yet. The problem is that they make bubbles smell so good you just want to eat them! And if you are a 1 1/2 years old you are going to try!

Cage Buddies
Jeremy sent this picture to me today while I was at work! He was in the family room finishing up his breakfast. He knew that Hayden was in the laundry room with Mazie, but he had no idea what he would find when he walked in there! She crawled in there to hang out with Mazie!

And to top it off, she was hand feeding Mazie her dog food!

Easter at Pop and Grandma's
We had a big lunch after church and then an Easter egg hunt for the kids and adults. Jackson wasn't happy about something!

Blake and Hayden spending some time with Great-grandma.

Hayden found the kitty cat!

All of the kids got 3 different Easter baskets! Talk about tons of candy for the parents!

Eggs, eggs, eggs!

The little princess didn't reach in the bushes for this Easter egg hunt either!

Aunt Jamie is showing Blake where to find some eggs.

Happy Easter!
One of the teachers at Hayden's preschool took Easter pictures of the children this year! That is a real bunny!

Don't send a lame Easter eCard. Try JibJab Sendables!
It's Official!
Hayden has spent the last two nights in her big bed. No fuss, no waking in the middle of the night, no nothing! She has been taking naps in there for the past 5 days. She does get out of bed at the beginning of some naps, but we put her right back in and she falls asleep! What an easy transition this has been!

Easter Goodies

We are going over to Jeff and Jan's tomorrow for a family Easter lunch. I said I would make some sort of Easter dessert. Here it is, good old carrot cake. And.....

I just had to do something for the kids and big kids! These are called Easter Bunny Racers.

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt
One of our neighbors invited us over for a neighborhood Easter egg hunt this afternoon. It was her grandson's birthday so she made it one big event with a birthday cake, Easter eggs, the resurrection story using resurrection eggs, party favors..... It was very fun and we're glad we went.
Here is Hayden with one of the little girls that lives on our street. She's only 3 weeks younger than Hayden. All Hayden wanted to do was hug her, but Abby wasn't so sure about it.

She did a great job of finding Easter eggs, we were surprised.

She didn't like to reach into the bushes to get them. So, she would point, we would reach in and put it somewhere else, and she would get it.

Here are some other children finding eggs. There were probably 12 children there!

Still Lovin' That Hat!
After Hayden woke up from her THREE hour nap this afternoon one of the first things she wanted to do was put on her parade hat!
Easter Parade Video

Easter Parade!
Finally, the day has arrived. All of the students and teachers have been eagerly awaiting this day. All of the preschool children march or ride around the entire church (wearing the hats that they have made) while their parents stand, take pictures, and cheer them on! It's the weekday preschool's annual Easter parade!
Hayden's class is in the wagons. She's in the second wagon.

What a little cow girl!

She's sitting next to her buddy KJ. Twins Skye and Skylar are across from her in the wagon.

Some of the 3 year olds.

Some of the 4 year olds.

Dancing Doll

Watch Hayden's face as she watches the Dancing Doll video on the computer. She is closing her eyes because that's what the doll does after she finishes dancing!

Hayden's First Hair Cut!

(no more mullet....I hung on to that Pittsburgh style for as long as I could)

My arm gets in the way during the cutting, but I wanted all of you to see the trouble I had getting a 1 1/2 year old to keep her head still. I had no idea it would be that difficult!!!

Breakfast with the Bear
This morning Hayden wanted to eat breakfast with one of her favorite bears. That is daddy's cereal spoon, she doesn't really use that big of a spoon to eat!

Hanging with Grady!

First Nap in the Big Bed
Hayden wasn't so sure about actually sleeping in this big bed at first. But she ended up falling asleep and taking a nice long nap.

Exploring the Big Girl Bed!!!
When Hayden woke up from her afternoon nap we showed her the new bed! As you can see in the first picture, she was pretty sleepy at first. But then she went crazy!!
