More Crafting!!
Jeremy and some guys have been working hard up at Discover Point in order to change our current office into a three stall ladies restroom! It's MAJOR renovation and there's only four of them doing it. Fortunately, the four guys are very knowledgeable and handy (of course, one of them being my hubby!)
I really wanted to thank them for all of their hard work so far and that way that I thank people is by baking for them :)
I didn't want to run to the store to get boxes, because that meant I needed to get out of my comfy clothes (ok.....pajamas!). So, I looked up a tutorial on how to make a paper box! Simple and cute...right?!
So, it's playgroup time at Discover Point! I love the summers and playgroups. You guys remember me talking all about mine last year, Test Kitchen. Well, there is another one that I am participating in and I LOVE it already. It's a Pinterest Playgroup! Need I say more? What's not to love about a playgroup that has to do with Pinterest crafting!? This week was our first week and we made costers! They said we could bring our own scrapbook paper and photos so I got to brainstorming. This is how they turned out. I am in love with them. They are a gift, so I won't be able to use them myself but I know the one getting them will just cherish them :)

Sweet Pea Shower Cake
A friend asked me to do a shower cake for her sister, who also happens to be my friend. The theme was pea in the pod! Such a cute theme! She's due just a few days after me!!
The top tier is white almond with fresh strawberries and the bottom is chocolate peanut butter cake with peanut butter filling.
Hope they enjoy!!

Baby Bump Week 34
I just had to share some extra info about the hospital gowns! They are complete with snaps along the collar and top sides for nursing! AND there are snaps in the back for the all important epidural distributor!!
Crafting
This is what Layner likes to do while I am sewing at the sewing machine. She makes little designs with the fabric and pins.
Daddy has been working hard on the girls playhouse/loft....when he has free time. It was my job to paint the playhouse parts....so that's what the girls and I did yesterday. We really lucked out, we found this paint in the "Oops paint" section last Saturday!! It's perfect!!
Hopefully it won't be long until the girls have their new bed!!

Doggie Makeover!
This morning Layne wanted to spruce up Roxie's look a little, so she added a cute little accessory!
A heart barrette of course! Rox didn't mind at all!
The new playhouse/loft bed is in the works! Well, we went on Saturday to get most of the supplies for it. Now daddy just has to find the time to build it!!
The girls are beyond excited! I can't wait to see their faces when it's actually done and they get to experience how cool it really is!!
How many southerners does it take to put on the front license plate of a championship team?!
Such unfamiliar territory to them!!

Just Waiting for The Baby!!

Well, the nursery is done! Every little details in complete......

Ladybugs watching everywhere!

My very favorite chair. Don't you LOVE the blanket that Grammie crocheted for Gwynn. It's just perfect!

The pots are from the shower. They just fit so perfectly with the decor that I used them in the room.

Closet filled with clothes and diapers! Those are just the size 1 diapers and wipes. The size 2 and 3 are in the crawlspace.

Then there's the playmat that Kari let us borrow (along with TONS of clothes and other baby items!). The beautiful swing that Jeremy's grandma bought us. And the highlight of the whole room......the Steelers diaper bag that Grandma and Pap gave Gwynn!!

A close up of the crib bedding. The Angle monitor isn't hooked up yet, but there's part of it. That thing is amazing. It can tell me the temperature of the babies room and if I set a\ temperature alarm it will sound if the room gets too hot or too cold! The pad goes under the mattress and it can still sense the baby's movement! I can set the noise sensitivity so I don't hear every tiny noise if I don't want to. I can watch the baby and ZOOM in! I can have timers and alarms on the monitor part that I carry around....... It's just amazing!
The little lamb says a prayer....it's the cutest thing. Then there is the binki inch worm. There is a binki at the end of it....no more losing them!

Summer School Begins

The girls and I picked up some school book a few weeks ago. We are ready to have a little "school" each day so that they don't forget everything that they learned last year. They LOVE it.

They have their own books, crayons, and pencils and even desk name tags. At the end they get a little sticker for their sticker chart if they've done a good job. Fun stuff!!

The Wonderful Weekend!
On Saturday morning the girls, grandma and I headed to the salon to get a hair cut for Hayden and myself! Something we have not done since before I was pregnant!! Here's Layner talking to Aunt September on the phone before we left.
Waiting to be called for the cut.
Goodbye long hair!! She wanted it to her ears!
After hair cuts it was off to lunch.
Then we headed to the park for a Discover Kids ice cream social. It was so much fun!
Sunday afternoon was the big baby shower.....and it WAS big and beautiful!
Two of my dear friends Mary and Lisa put the shower on for me. They got so many wonderful ideas from pinterest and it all came together amazingly. Every little details was thoughts out and lady bugged themed!
The cake table. What an adorable way to layer plastic table cloths!
No, I did not do my own cake, but isn't it beautiful?!
Little onesie cookies even have little lady bugs on them!
A bunch of ladies from DP pitched in and made all different themed foods for the shower. Everything was delicious!
There were around 35 or 40 people there! We ate, laughed, played cute games, opened gifts, and ate cake. I have not felt that loved in a very long time. It was such an amazing day.
So many gifts....mostly diapers and wipes which I am ecstatic about.
The girls were such great helpers. They brought gifts to me, opened gifts, and moved opened gifts out of the way.
The girls even got a few special big sister gifts just for them. So sweet for people to think about the big sisters!
This was one of the last gifts. It was in a huge box. I unwrapped it and there was another wrapped box inside! No card, so I had no idea who this mystery gift was from. I opened the second box to find the Angelcare monitor....platinum edition! This video movement monitor is something that is very important to us. It's nice to know that you can see your baby sleeping soundly in her crib at any time AND the movement sensor is amazing in the case that she'd stop breathing! After I opened the monitor Sandra came up with the card.....that's when I lost it. When I opened the card I saw that 13 beautiful women came together to get this gift for me. It was so touching and unbelievable all at the same time.
Sunday was one of those days that will stick with me for a very long time. It was such a good day and I felt so blessed to have so many amazing women and family members in my life.

Grandma's In Town!!
Grandma is in town! She got in late last night and she'll be here till Monday morning. She came with lots of fun things for the girls to do. Their first project was this thing. Basically, they scraped this clay figure in order to discover a treasure inside!
Then we decided to get hair cuts! Mommy and Hayden haircuts!!
What a cutie!

Babies and Sweet Rides!
Yesterday we headed out to Acworth to visit with Matt, Jamie, Mac and to meet baby Caroline! It was a great visit and Caroline is so tiny and cute! It made us all so excited for baby Gwynn to come!!
Big sister practice!
Jeremy surprised me with this while we were out there!! When the girls and I got there it was parked in the driveway. I asked Jerm who's car it was. He told me that it was Matt and Jamie's new car. I thought it was kind of crazy considering they just had a baby AND moved into a new house 2 days before Caroline was born, but I believed him. After we got a house tour we went out to look at their new car. Jeremy figured I would know it was ours when I saw his lunch cooler and backpack in the front seat. I didn't even see it...I was looking at the car, not the stuff. So, finally we got around to the back of the car and he said, "you know this is yours....I bought this for you!". Apparently, he has been talking with dealers for about a month now!! It's a Hyundai Veracruz and I love it! It has three rows and can seat 7!! The girls are in love....especially with the way back seats, they told me that when they grow up they want a car just like it.
July 19th Jeremy and I will have been married for 9 years!! Happy Anniversary to me :)
