Hayden's Birthday Celebration

Aunt September, Layne and I during the birthday party. Layne was pretty good, she had her fussy moments but it wasn't too bad at all.

This is the new swing that Jeremy and I bought for Hayden.

Here is the box that the swing came in. That was her favorite gift....a box!

As you can see, it was very hot outside. Hayden was the only child actually sweating though....she has the Howat gene!

Hannah and Grant came to her party....and most of her friends from school came too!

We had quite a crowd here this afternoon!

Hayden got a lot of toys and clothes. We are so thankful for all of the wonderful friends and family that we have!

The display

The finished product. It's covered with marbled fondant. The sea weed and coral are made of gum paste. The sea animals and shells are all chocolate. The sand is brown sugar. I had a lot of of fun making it....can't wait to do next year's cake.


The cake on Friday night before it had all the "sand" on it. I didn't add that until Saturday morning.

Steelers Fish!
We hung all of the fish in fish netting that I borrowed from the church. There were 24 fish "swimming" around the family room and kitchen.
