Walking and More

I got a special request for some Hayden walking and Grady videos. So, here is a little video that we took at different points during the day today. Hope you enjoy! She's growing up fast!!

Tortilla Madness
It all started one night when I was making quesadillas for dinner. Hayden was sitting on the counter watching every move that I made. She watched me open the tortilla bag, get a few out, and put the bag down. She then decided to sneak her little fingers in the bag and take off a piece of tortilla to snack on while she watched me cook. She did this repeatedly until about 1/4 of the tortilla was gone!
Here she is last night. This time she decided to take the whole tortilla out of the bag!

"Dooder"
Hayden loves to play the computer so much that she has learned how to say it..."dooder". She plays on it with mommy or daddy at least twice a day! I had to get some cookies out of the oven, so I put on her favorite song and left her alone for a minute. She just sat and watched.

Attack Daddy!!
Last night daddy let Hayden attack him. They had a great time together. First, she caught him off guard.

Then she sat on him!

Number One!!

Hayden is the champion!

To the School We Go...
Since Hayden was feeling better we all decided to get out of our pajamas and go to the elementary school that is about a minute away from the house. We took the dogs too! They just put in a brand new playground. Hayden had a blast and the dogs had a great time too.

I think Hayden thinks that she's a slide expert since she has a little one in her preschool room.

As soon as she came down she wanted to go right back up again.

Peek-a-Boo daddy!
Action shot. She always had kind of a scared look on her face as she was going down, but as soon as it was over she was smiling and laughing. Just like mommy with roller coasters.
Peek-a-Boo mommy!

Starting to Feel Better
Hayden has had a fever since Monday afternoon, we think it may have been the flu virus that's going around but we're not totally sure. Finally, her fever broke this afternoon and she is back to her wonderful self. As you can see, today was a pajama day with mommy and daddy! Hayden and I have a week off of school...Winter Break!

She had to have a snack with her while she drove. We're glad she's eating again!! She hasn't eaten much at all the past few days.

Doesn't she look like a little Miss Priss in this picture!? "Could you get the door for me darling?"

She learned how to prop her feet up on the door and take a rest. Speaking of learning things-it's scary how observant she is...she really takes EVERYTHING in. Last night I was eating a Poptart for dinner. I was dipping it in my milk cup (some may think that's weird). I looked over at Hayden and she was dipping her cracker into her bowl of peas! Crazy girl!

Cleaning Around the House
Hayden was carrying around the duster this morning. I taught her what to do with it and she started dusting and couldn't stop! What a good little helper.

Hayden loves balloons. She talks about them all the time. Yesterday I bought two balloons for the Valentine's Day celebration at preschool. Hayden got to bring them home when we were done. She has been carrying them around for 2 days now.

Pastry Chef Daddy!
I got home from work today to find this homemade cookie bouquet! Jeremy has been working hard and secretively for the past two days to create this work of art. What a sneaky sweet husband! He also got Hayden a little stuffed giraffe that she loves!

Decorating Valentine Cookies
After work today I made some heart shaped sugar cookies for the teachers at preschool. We are having a little Valentine breakfast tomorrow. Hayden loves to watch me cook and bake in the kitchen. She can't help out much yet, but she'll be a great little chef in a few years!

Multitasking

Hayden wanted her shoes and juice at the same time, so she figured out how to make it work.

Like her new hair do? It sure does keep the hair out of her face, and we think it looks really cute too!

The other day Hayden climbed up on the couch so she could hang out with all of her peeps on the couch. She love her stuffed animals....especially her bears.

Friday Nights
Every Friday Jeremy, Hayden, and I head to our friends house for Bible study. Hayden plays while 6 of us participate in a Bible study. We all look forward to it each week. But, by the time we get home, Hayden is out! This week we just took her in her pj's (doggie slippers and all) so she would be ready for bed when we got home. I didn't want her to feel weird going to Bible study in her slippers, so I wore mine too! Really I just wanted to wear them because they were comfortable!

On a different note....Jeremy and I have finally agreed on a name for baby number two. But we have decided to keep it a surprise until she comes in late July. So, you'll have to wait until she arrives to hear the beautiful name we have chosen!

Valentine Treats for Friends
Yesterday, Hayden's teacher sent a note home saying that they would be having a Valentine's Day Party and the kids would be exchanging valentine's with each other. I was so excited when I read it because that meant I got to make some little treat for Hayden to give to all of her friends at school! So, I came up with this.....empty baby food jars filled with candies!! I had so much fun making them all. It's so fun being a mom!!

Computer Time
A friend of Jeremy's told him about a website that she uses with her 1 1/2 year old. It's a beginning reader site called StarFall. We have been going to that site with Hayden for about a week now and she loves it. It has different stages depending on what level you are on.
This morning she wanted me to play on the computer with her, but I had to go to work. So, daddy got to go on the site with her.

Rounding Up The Animals...
This afternoon Hayden tried her best to get all of the animals to come inside, but they just wouldn't listen to a word she had to say. She calls MooMoo and GraGra unsuccessfully. Listen carefully and you'll be able to hear her grunting out of frustration.

Showing My Peeps the Potty
Hayden wanted her peeps to see how she went to the potty this morning. Here she is on her way back.

This is the birthday card that Pappy got mommy for her birthday yesterday. It plays "I'm so Excited" and Hayden loves to listen to it over and over and over again!! Pappy also got us a Chili's gift card. So, that's where we went for Birthday dinner last night. We then went to Cold Stone!! Mommy's favorie!
