Nothing Like Good Old H2O

I did the big loop for the first time today-7.3 miles (and yes, I have to include that hard earned 3 tenths of a mile!). The past few mornings have been less humid and cooler-about 68 degrees when I start my run-so it's been refreshing. Around 5 miles into the run today I spotted jets of water watering a lawn about 100 yards ahead and some of the jets were even hitting the road on their rotation! Oh man, this was going to be good. I could just cross over onto the other side of the road and run through the cool mist and feel re energized and rejuvenated!
Well, the whole timing thing didn't really work out so I ended up having to jog in place while I waited for this tortoise like sprinkler head to decide to head on back towards the road. As it approached the excitement grew.
Here we go, oh I can't wait to get misted. The water is going to cool off........MY SHOE!?
Just as the jet of water reached me the system turned off!! What are the freaking chances of that!? So, I finished my last 2.3 miles dreaming about the huge glass of H2O that I would drink when I got home.....
