This isn't Santa!

Hayden and I met some ladies from the church at Chick-fil-A today before we went Christmas shopping for a family. There was a huge cow there dressed up in a Santa outfit. Hayden loved the cow until it was time for him to hold her....as you can see.

Dinner Conversation

I taped a little conversation that Hayden and I were having over dinner. It's starts out with her calling Ruth (Roow). Ruth is a goat that Jan and Jeff have at their house. She is constantly asking me "What's that (wazaa)?" She also says: daddy (da)-most of the time she really does say daddy but not that night, uh oh (uhuh), bye bye (ba ba), bowl (boow), ball (ba), and of course Elmo (lala).

Sometimes when she is saying Roo she cracks up laughing. She does that because before I began taping her I would laugh hysterically when she called for Roo-just because her mouth is so cute when she does it. So, she decided that when she would call for Roo she needed to laugh too.

Baby Number 2

We had an ultrasound today and got to see the heartbeat. The baby is 8 weeks and 2 days old today and healthy! Praise the Lord.

The due date is July 20th.....1 day after our wedding anniversary!

I Get So Emotional....

Be on the lookout for the new 2007 Holiday Publix Commercial. I saw it for the first time this morning and cried my eyes out....in a good way. I have tried to find it on the Internet so that I can post it for all of you to see, but I couldn't find it. Get your Kleenex!!

Floor Cleaner

Here is Hayden cleaning up the Cheerios that mommy spilled. It took us a few shots to catch her in action. What a silly little girl.

Got Milk?

When we're finished with our milk jugs we rinse them out and put them by the trash can for recycling. Hayden love to play with them when they are on the floor. Here she is trying to get some milk out on one of the jugs.

Happy Birthday Daddy

Yesterday it was Jeremy's birthday....the big 29! We did a lot of relaxing, because that's what he wanted to do. He wanted me to make him is E'clair cake for the big day. Here we are singing "Happy Birthday". Hayden even tried to sing with me.

Spring Has Sprung!?!?!

It sounds crazy, but it is about 75 degrees outside today! Thank goodness I am a little behind and haven't put Hayden's summer clothes away yet. I guess part of me just knew that this warm weather would be coming in the dead of winter!

Daddy was out on the porch unloading some firewood and Hayden decided that she wanted to help. She's not sure what she's doing, but she saw daddy doing this same thing so it must be right!

Christmas Pictures

We have tried to take Christmas pictures of Hayden twice. The first time it ended in tears...as you can see.

It seemed like she did everything BUT smile for the camera like I wanted her to.

Today we bought her some tights and shoes and tried for round two if the Christmas pictures.
At least she was smiling today!
She was very interested in the presents.
And eventually we got a good Christmas shot!!!

Look Who's Walking!

Hayden decided that tonight was the night! We started out playing the "Up Down" game with Hayden and it went from there. First you will see a few falls, we had to include them because they were so funny. Then you'll see her walk to daddy then mommy. And last you will see her walk right to her toy like she has been walking for months! I guess she knew that it was the "finale" on this video so she wanted to do something spectacular and unexpected. Not only did she walk to her toy, but she wanted to finish with a bang so she dropped her ball in her dinosaur toy just likes she's supposed to!! Also, watch how much attention she pays to the camera...what a little actress!

Christmas Penguin

Yesterday I got out a few Christmas decorations. While I was going through the boxes I found this penguin that Grandma and Pap got Hayden last year. Hayden just loves it this year!

I dressed her in her camo outfit yesterday in honor of daddy, since he shot a buck! Yahoo for daddy-not so good for the buck though.

So Sleepy....

At first, Hayden didn't want to go down for her nap. Then, when I peeked in I saw her sitting up swaying back and forth with her eyes closed. This is how I found her a few minutes later! Asleep sitting up-what a crazy girl!

It's Official!

Our house is officially FOR SALE as of yesterday afternoon. We are praying that it will sell quickly so that we can move further out in the country and build a house. Rolling hills, less traffic, peaceful little town here we come!!

We had Jeremy's big family Thanksgiving last night at his grandmother's house. Everything was so good! So today we're cooking a big Thanksgiving meal for the three of us. It's the first time I've done a turkey so I am excited. My mom always cooked a big meal for our immediate family and it's a tradition that I would like to continue for our family. I have a few years to get all of the recipes perfected before the kids actually have an opinion about how the food tastes!

Yarn Buddy

Hayden found some yarn today....and they became inseparable! She dragged it with her wherever she went!

And off she goes, see the yarn woven between her toes...

A Little Closer

Hayden is not walking yet, but she got a little closer today. She has been pulling up and using anything and everything to "walk" for months now but she just won't do it on her own! Today she got brave enough to use the wall to help herself get around. So, maybe we will be walking this week while mommy is home for Thanksgiving break.

"Toow"

Hayden LOVES to untie shoes and run the laces through her fingers. She also calls shoes "toow"s. It's really cute.

It's That Time Again!
After a few days of feeling "pregnant" I took a test and sure enough it was positive! Based on dates, it looks like I may be about 6 weeks along.

But I have a doctor's appointment next week so we should know about how far along I am then.

Please keep this little one in your prayers. Pray for a healthy wonderful pregnancy just like I had with Hayden. Pray that this little one will be just as perfect as our first one!

Here is Hayden wearing the shirt that she will have on tomorrow for all of her friends at preschool to see. It's a size 3T, but we made it work! She's going to be a great big sister.

Boo Boo

Last night while Hayden was standing up using the coffee table she slipped and fell. She has two little scratches on her chin. So, we put a band aide on it today...to keep the MRSA out! When I first put it on she was chomping up and down because it felt so weird. It was pretty funny.

Silly Willy

Today after church Hayden and I went outside to take some pictures. Here is miss silly willy sticking her tongue out.

Mazie decided that she wanted to be in the picture too.

Then Moo jumped it too. Hayden wasn't too happy about that considering Moo was the one that scratched Hayden this morning! I was on the couch holding Hayden this morning and Jeremy went to let Mazie in from outside. Moo was on the couch drinking the leftover milk from Jeremy's cereal bowl. When Mazie came running inside it scared Moo. So, Moo jumped on Hayden's head (claws out) and then jumped on the side table and knocked over a cup of water. Hayden was startled but fine. Jerm grabbed Moo, opened the front door, and tossed her over the front porch railing and into the front yard. Those of you that have been to our house know that that's about a 25 foot drop! Ok, so when Jeremy read this he told me that it really is only a 10 foot drop! So I may have exaggerated a little....

Just Being Cute

Here's a couple pictures of Hayden before we went to Bible study last night. She's just so much fun to dress!

We go to our Sunday school teacher's house every Friday night for Bible study. He has a 13 year old daughter that watches Hayden while we have the discussion. Last night Abby had two friends over so Hayden had a great time just hanging out with the girls....and Aaron-Abby's younger brother.

Hayden is sick for the second time since her first birthday a little over a month ago! I guess she's just not used to being around lots of little kids. Her immune system isn't strong enough yet. Please just keep her in your prayers as her health continues to adjust to the new change.

Crazy Underwear Head

Earlier this week while I was folding laundry Hayden decided to help out, which is pretty normal. I give her the socks and underwear to put in the basket while I fold everything else. When I looked over at her she had some of my underwear on her head and arms. She wasn't putting underwear in the basket instead she decided to wear all of the underwear!

Side note: Yes, we have the Fisher Price Laugh 'n Learn Kitchen that was recalled. And yes, we have sent away for the free repair kit. And as you can see-no, we have not put it away until we get the repair kit.

Side note number two: After speaking with Hayden's uncle John he reminded me that he was the only one who was concerned enough about Hayden's well being to notify me about the recall. He also mentioned that he is the only one of Hayden's aunts/uncles on the Howat side of the family that remembered Hayden's birthday! Yikes...someone has a lot of making up to do!

Fridays are catch up days for me. Since I don't work on Friday I am able to clean up the house and put the laundry away that I folded days earlier (I know...it's sad!). Hayden wanted to help me do that too, so she dug right into the underwear! Don't worry, she only does this with clean underwear!

Big Girl Coat

We had to get Hayden a winter coat for two reasons. One:it's stinkin' cold outside these days, just as Uncle Johnny-he almost froze to death when he came last weekend! Poor Florida boy! Two:she is out of the house more often now because she is going to the preschool every week. So, we picked up this girlie girl fluffy pink coat tonight. Don't you just love it.....she sure does! Check out the pose in the first picture. One foot propped on the couch. What can I say, she's a natutal.

School Girl Outfit

Here's Hayden in her school girl outfit. Grandma Milko bought her this skirt a while ago and she's just now fitting into it. We bought the boots earlier this week. She doesn't like them too much, but she wears them anyway. She did have little pink tights with the outfit when she left for school this morning, but she came home tightless!

Uncle John is In Town!

Uncle John drove up from Florida for a visit this weekend. Hayden has been having so much fun with him the past two days.

Wrestling with Mazie

Mazie wasn't very excited about this, but Hayden loved it. She basically tackled Mazie and tried to pin her.

Hayden went through her diaper bag and pulled this outfit out. She took it over to her chair and tried to put it on....unsuccessfully.

I put Hayden in the big chair while I vacuumed her room. She just sat there and "read" one of her books.
