Silly Monkey First Birthday!

I did these cakes for Christy Boan's daughter. They call Madelyn "little monkey" so when she saw the cake that I did for Layne's 2nd birthday she thought it would be perfect.
I didn't want to make the same exact cake because I would prefer all of my cakes to be different from one another. Christy gave me the freedom to be creative so I changed things up a bit!
And of course Madelyn needs her own little smash cake! I think that I have done 4 cakes for the Boan's and they ALL have been chocolate chocolate chip with cookies and cream filling-which is one of my favs too!

Open House!

The girls have been so excited all day for their preschool open house tonight!
Before I start on that though, let me give you the stats from Layne's 2 year appointment that she had today. She weighs 22 pounds which is still in the 3rd percentile and she's 32 1/2 inches tall which is in the 10th percentile. No shots for her this visit-yeah! Everything is perfect with the little Layner!
Here's Hayden with her teacher, Ms. Nanci. There are a lot of new faces in Hayden's class this year!
And Layne with her teacher, Ms. Melodie.
Now it's time to say goodbye and run down the big hill........
This was just not one of mommy's best ideas. Layne took off as fast as she could because she didn't know any better. This picture was taken about .5 seconds before she totally wiped out. Oops!
The girls new game is to set the chairs like this and pretend that they are on an airplane! Today I brought them their snack and beverage while they flew to Pittsburgh.
Sarah's back! We got to hang out with Sarah on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
Hayden is such a little mother, little Sarah doesn't even have to lift a finger when Hayden's around!
Sarah just thought Moo Moo was the coolest thing ever! Moo wasn't so sure about Sarah though.

September's Rehearsal Dinner Speech
September and I worked together in order to prepare our speeches for Johnny and Mwende's rehearsal dinner. after helping me with mine she searched and searched on Youtube and finally found a really great idea for hers! She took the idea of a letter and then we tweaked it. So, here's what she ended up with-a letter that Johnny read aloud at the dinner!

Driving Home...

We met Pappy at the Waffle House on Treasure Island before we headed back to GA.
I talked Jeremy into making a stop at Lane Peach Orchard on the way home. It was about 5 hours into the trip. I was so nervous that we wouldn't make it there in time. They close at 7pm and we hit major traffic in Florida and there were tons of downpours where my speed was reduced to like 35 miles an hour, Hayden had to go potty.....It seemed like we were never going to make it. But we made it with 20 minutes to spare!
Peach ice cream for dinner and a 1/2 bushel of peaches and peach bread for the road!
Then it was off to the playground.

The peaches are REALLY good! I have decided that we are going to stop there every time we head either to Florida or home from Florida. It was SO worth it!
More Florida Pictures

Hand made survival knot bracelets by Aunt September! She's just starting out, but I will be featuring her on both of my blogs onces she gets her Etsy store and Fan Page up and running!

None of us were able to get a good picture of Hayden walking down the isle, so September had her do a reenactment after the wedding!

As always....thank you for an amazing Florida vacation mom and Bern. We all had such a great time and we will see everyone again in October for a Space Adventure!
Love you both very much!!

Beach Bums

The girlies LOVE the beach! They love the water, sand, shells, sun, birds.......
We tried to keep a hat on little Layner so her head wouldn't get sunburned. Sometimes she liked wearing it and sometimes she didn't!
One day Pappy came to the beach to hang out with all of us! He worked hard to build the girls a sand castle.
The girls are very brave in the water. They'll walk in the waves and float on their backs (with some help).
Grandma and Pap hanging out under the umbrella.
Aunt Missy and Uncle Jeff were in town for Johnny's wedding and they "vacationed" for a few days too. They were just right down the road from us, so they came to the beach the same day Pappy did!
Pappy and Melody hanging out.
The ocean would just drain all of the energy out of the girls. They both took naps just about every single afternoon....sometimes in Pap's arms! Pap and Hayden are like Best Friends!
My cousins Max and Katie have been staying in the same condo with my Uncle Tom (their dad) all week! So, Hayden has some other buddies to play with! They were catching and watching little clam type things.
Sisters..........
I just love these girls!
We had so much leftover food from the wedding. One of the trays of sandwiches was getting old. So, we took it down to the beach for the seagulls! It was nuts!
The girls were both able to feel the seagulls from their hands.....with a little help from daddy.
And some of us even received a little gift in return!
Cook out at our place last night. It poured rain while we were grilling out. Fortunately, we were under a little covering. But we had to walk up to the condo so we all got soaked! Dinner was awesome though!
