Helpful Hayden
When it's time to change Hayden's diaper she likes to help out by holding her feet for us. She may just be trying to get that "other hand looking thing" to her mouth, since everything else ends up there, but we think she's being helpful!

Black Pants

We were out shopping yesterday and couldn't believe our eyes....a quality pair of black pants on the clearance rack at Toys R Us!! They were only $2.40...Geoffrey and his co-workers must have made a mistake! We had to snatch them up quick before the big giraffe noticed his mistake. Every girl needs a good pair of black pants! They even has 2 side pockets in order to store her binki. What a steal!

Laundry Lady

Daddy thought it would be funny to put Hayden in the laundry basket after mommy was done folding clothes. Daddy and Hayden thought it was great....mommy was a little nervous-ok, a lot nervous! I think Hayden was too-look how she is holding onto the blanket for dear life!

Bib Head
Hayden is now wearing bibs pretty regularly because of her drooling problem. I'd say that she drools just about every second of the day and even some at night too. Daddy helped her pick this one out and I guess she decided that she wanted it on her head. She looks like a New York City cab driver to me...."You want me to drop you off at the corner of 25th and Main....hop in my walker and we'll get movin'."

Silly Bib Head

I think that she may have realized that a bib does not belong on your head! Hayden and daddy are so silly together!! I think that she is going to have mommy's sense of humor. Hayden gets a kick out of herself and the things that she does.

Crazy Collar Girl!!
Hayden was so into her playing that she did not even notice that her collar had popped up.....or maybe she was make believing that she was Cruella Daville. I just love the look she gave me when I took this picture. Its almost like she knew she had to give a crazy look to go with her crazy collar.....I'm tellin ya she is one smart baby!!

Tiny Girl in a BIG Toy
She likes to sit in her walked even though it's still too big for her. Her feet are a longs ways from touching the ground. I think she feels all grown up when she sits in it all by herself. She can't even reach any of the toys in order to entertain herself. So, she just sits there, kicks her feet, and tries not to fall forward......I guess that can be fun for a baby!

What Do You Think You're Looking At!?

It appears that Hayden doesn't like Mazie staring at her while she is trying to play in her walker. She would be "playing" and then stop and look over at Mazie as if to say...."quit staring at me!!" Just wait until she gets a little brother!!!!

Rolling Over?
Here is little Miss Hayden trying desperately to roll over on her back. She HATES to be on her belly. She is SO close to being able to roll over....maybe it's the Florida air?!

Where's Daddy?.....

Hayden is getting so great at holding her head up. She is even to the point where she is almost pushing up with her arms. She's getting ready to crawl soon..... I think she was trying to find daddy in this picture. We were sad that he couldn't make the trip with us.

Holding Hands with Pappy

Hayden and I began our road trip to Florida at 5:45am on Thursday morning. We got there around 1:00 in the afternoon. She did so well in the car. She slept for about 6 out of the 7 hours. She didn't really fuss at all while she was awake!! We decided to take the trip to Florida because Uncle Johnny was coming home from London for the weekend. Hayden had never met Uncle Johnny.....so we just had to make the trip!

While we were at the airport on Thursday waiting for Johnny to come in from London Hayden decided to hold Pappy's hand.

Love at First Sight

John wanted to hold Hayden the moment that he saw her. He thinks that she is just the cutest thing ever..and she doesn't think he's too bad either! He even said that he wants "one of these" to take back to London with him. He gave her a nickname "Hay-Bale".

Cuddle Time with Pappy

Hayden has just had the best time here in Florida. She loves the weather and everything else that comes with Florida. She has been all smiles and laughs all weekend. Both she and Pappy have enjoyed the one on one time they have gotten to spend together.

Bath Time in Florida

Pappy went out and bought Hayden this tub so that we could bathe her. She loved kicking and splashing in the warm water.

Pappy Bathing Hayden

Pappy had such a great time giving Hayden a bath on Friday night. He just loved watching her kick her feet and splash water everywhere.

Drag Racing Central?!

Here are two pictures of Pappy outside. Some teens were driving up and down and up and down and up and down the street on their dirt bikes. It was very noisy so Pappy decided to go out and put a stop to it. His exact words before he went outside were, "What is this Drag Racing Central or something!?" Unfortunately, when he went out there he scared them off for good.....or they were just done for the day.

Naked Time in the Crib
I put Hayden in her crib this afternoon while I changed the cover on her changing pad. She loved watching her mobile "in the nude". She did pause for a moment in order to pose for a picture. Then she went back to talking to the mobile.

It's a Bird....It's a Plane.....It's SUPER HAYDEN!

I happen to catch a glimpse of Hayden as she was flying around the corner into the office today. She's just so smart.....she peeks around the corner before she makes the turn.

As soon as she saw the flash from my camera she paused for a quick shot.

When daddy and Hayden do the "flying trick" daddy's job is to make the motor sounds...notice the face.

SO Big........

Hayden is now able to sit facing forward in her Snugli because she can hold her little head up all by herself! She is getting so big!! I was telling Jeremy the other day that she now looks and feels like a "big baby" when I cradle her in my arms....no more little newborn!

Hayden's First Friend
On Saturday we had John, Jessica, and their daughter Hannah over. Hannah is 10 days older than Hayden. They had such a fun time playing together that when it was time to say good bye Hannah got a little emotional about it......as you can see.

Hayden's Lil' Buddy

Here is Hayden with one of her favorite toys. She just loves to cuddle with it and give it kisses....aka try to stuff as much of it as she can in her mouth.

Talking Away

Here's a close up of Hayden during one of our conversations. She just has so much to say....it's just too bad we can't understand her.

The Window
Jeremy's brothers wife or my sister-in-law, Jamie, gave me this window for Christmas. She painted the white crackle frame. As soon as I got it I knew that I wanted to put it in Hayden's room. So, I decided to try and paint flowers on it like the ones that are in her room. Getting the painted objects to actually look like flowers was a little harder than I thought. But-here it is!

The New Do....
Well, the long hair lasted for about three months after I had Hayden. That's not too bad-well, I guess that depends on who you ask in this house hold! It's easy and I love it!

Waking Up....
This is what the little one looks like when she just wakes up from one of her morning naps. We have to be very careful not to startle her because she is not totally with it when she just wakes up. You can tell that by the look on her face.

The Dress That John Bought

We got this beautiful dress in the mail today from Uncle John. We love it and can't wait for her to wear it to church on Sunday

Not Quite Able To Sit Up Yet....

The picture and title says it all.......

Bad To The Bone in Her Bernsie

We decided to cut one of her onesies into a sleeveless onesie. Bernie, my step dad, will appreciate this one. He is a big fan of the sleeveless undershirts or as some call them the "wife beaters". We didn't want to name the sleeveless onesie a wife beater so we called it a Bernsie after Bernie! The Harley Davidson jacket actually belongs to Mazie (our Yokie). We just threw it in the picture as a prop. Doesn't it look like Hayden has a little attitude in this picture. Almost like she is saying, "Eh, you talkin' to me!?"

Sea Creatures

Mom and Bernie gave us these sea creatures for Christmas. When we got them they were about the size of a baseball. We put them in the tub for about a week and they grew! The one on the left is a sting ray and the one on the right is a star fish.

This is also the last picture of me with long hair! I am going today to get it chopped off. It's just getting in the way and I am tired of it.

First Pair of Jeans
On Saturday we went out shopping for Hayden's first pair of jeans. Doesn't she look all grown up in this outfit!?

Someone Thinks She's Pregnant!!
About 9 weeks ago we took our little Yorkie, Mazie, to be bred but things didn't go too well and we knew she did not get pregnant. For some reason though Mazie thinks she's pregnant! She has been whining a lot and following me around everywhere. The funniest part about it is she is getting all of her toys and making little beds for them and hiding them. Jeremy decided that he was going to trim Mazie with the new dog clippers he got for Christmas. She wouldn't even put her "baby" down during the hair cut!

Here is a video of Mazie taking care of her "baby". Don't mess with a mother and her child!!!

Joseph's Lullaby
Jeremy's dad asked him if he and Hayden would do a little acting on Christmas Eve at the evening church service. His dad sang the some "Joseph's Lullaby" while Jeremy acted as Joseph and Hayden played Jesus. They all did a wonderful job.

The Bumbo Seat

Hayden tried out her new Bumbo seat tonight. At first she just wasn't sure what to think about the fact that she was sitting up without the assistance of mommy or daddy. Then, she really started to enjoy it. She even asked daddy to hand her one of her favorite books so she could read it to herself........

Is it a Onsie or a Turban?
As Jeremy was helping Hayden get dressed this morning he was being silly. Hayden thought daddy was so funny when he left the onsie on her head. Unfortunately, I didn't get the camera fast enough to catch her laughing.

Waking Up After an Afternoon Nap in Mommy & Daddy's Bed

I put her in our bed to take her nap because I was putting clothes away and wanted to watch her sleep. The nap didn't last too long, but I did get this cute picture of her stretching after she woke up. She is really getting her own little personality and starting to act like a mini grown up!

Baby Jesus & The Angel of the Lord
Hayden and I were asked to act in the Christmas Musical/Drama this year and Jeremy was the Assistant Director. I was really nervous about it because Hayden's fussy time is in the evening which is when the drama was. Jeremy and I just bathed all of it in prayer. She did an AMAZING job all three nights. Her part involved being carried by me, being placed in a manger, then being held by Mary. She didn't even cry when it was her "time to shine". She's an actress in the making. We are so proud of our little "Baby Jesus".

Hayden in the Manger

In the middle of the song I walked down the aisle with Hayden. Then I put her in the manger for the rest of the song. At the end of the song Mary picks her up out of the manger and carries her off the stage. On Sunday night she was sound asleep and stayed that way through the entire production!

The Entire Cast

On Sunday night we posed for a quick group picture before we ate. The church had a little Christmas Party after the performance on Sunday night.

Wings and All......

Here is a shot of me with my angel wings on. It was a cape that tied on, but it also had two wings attached to the cape. They were held in place by two little finger rings that looped around my fingers. It was quite flowy and glittery.

Here We Go Steelers!
Finally, she fits into the best outfit she has......her Steelers outfit (thanks to Mom and Bernie)! When I took this picture I tried to get her to hold up 1 finger, as if she was saying, "The Steelers are #1!". It just didn't work out though. As you can see she is a very proud Steelers fan.

Playing This Hard Can Make a Girl Tired!

This is the second time that she has fallen asleep while playing with Latin Horse (according to Jeremy) and Miss Elephant. The Latin Horse has a voice similar to Antonio Bandares. It's great listening to Jeremy imitate Antonio B.! Hayden has gotten to the point where she does not need mommy and daddy to play with her when she is on the floor. She and her two friends can handle it on their own. She just plays with them so hard that she falls asleep! Sometimes her hand will twitch and hit Antonio while she is sleeping. It wakes her right up and she continues playing like nothing ever happened!

Our Family Christmas Photo
Today we took our first Ross family Christmas picture.

All Smiles in the Christmas Dress

Since Hayden is all smiles in the morning I decided to put her in her Christmas dress that Grandma Ross bought her. We got some really great pictures, here is one of my favorites!

Happy as Can Be in Her Christmas Outfit

Since she was still happy, I decided to do an outfit change and shoot some more pictures. She still smiled throughout the whole things.
