New Clothes!
Grandpap and Grandma gave Hayden an Old Navy gift card for Easter! So, the three of us when shopping yesterday afternoon. You will see her new outfits in the following pictures.
This onesie says "Me and My Peeps". So, here she is hanging out with some of her peeps.

She just couldn't resist a group hug. She had to show them some love.

Fun in the Sundress....

Here is a cute little sundress that we just couldn't pass up. We had to have the hat too! Hopefully the hat will fit when we got to Florida. It said 6-12 months! But you never know how big her head will be in 4 months!

The hat is reversible!!
Standing in My Board Shorts
Daddy wasn't sure about these shorts because he doesn't want to teach her that it's ok to wear short shorts (which I agree with) but I think shorts are all short at her age!
Yes, she is standing all by herself, well with a little help from her toy. What a big girl! Ignore my foot in the picture....I was just so nervous that she was going to fall!

Check out those sexy legs....no ankle or calf definition at all. She'll be working those muscles out soon enough!

I have a feeling that we are going to have our hands full with this one once she gets to be a teenager. Can you see the attitude already....check out her pose. Oh man are we in for it! She's going to be just like her mommy!

Teething Madness!
Here is Hayden going crazy trying to get her mouth around one of her toys on the activity center. What a nut!

Can I Help You!?
(I'm in the middle of playtime you know!)
Since Hayden can sit up on her own we changed her activity center around. I think she is pretty proud of herself, we are too of course! Now that she can sit up it's like a whole new world.

We Found the Mirror

Hayden found out that she could keep an eye on mommy even through I am behind her! She thought that was the neatest thing. As soon as our eyes would meet she would squeal and laugh.

Funny story: When we bought Hayden this toy I felt like the music it played was a little loud but there was no volume control switch. So, I decided to tape a tissue over the speaker so that it wouldn't damage Hayden's sensitive little ear drums. You see, I used blue tape so that it would be disguised! Can you even tell where the speaker is?!

Look at Me!
This was taken last night while Hayden was playing in her Exersaucer. She just loves to play in her toy. She can turn herself all the way around in the chair. See the little green, blue, and red worms to the left of her? They are musical and she has figured that out. Hayden just bangs on them with her hand and listens to the music.

Faker

Here's the fake squint smile. She doesn't realize how funny she is...I don't think.

Fire

Today was another cold day, so mommy built a fire. Hayden loved watching the flames. She took a minute to look back at me when she heard me turn on the camera. She won't miss a photo opportunity!

Nap Time After Her Doctor's Appointment

Hayden had her 6 month check up today. She weighs 15 pounds 12 ounces which is right on track for her age. The doctor and nurse said she is doing everything perfectly and she is a perfect little baby.....well except for the head. She still has a rather large head. But they said that there is nothing to worry about....she just has a large head. Hayden got 2 shots today. She didn't even cry for the first one but she screamed for the second one! After I got her calmed down I put her on the table to get her dressed again. She then started her fake cry. It is the funniest thing to see. She squeezes her eye lids together and tries to frown. I think she is trying her hardest to squeeze a few tears out.

Juice in the Sippy Cup

The nurse said that I could put apple juice in Hayden's sippy cup! So, we tried that today. Here she is just messing around with her cup. By the way she is pretty much a pro with her sippy cup now. Check it out- one handed, hanging upside down, and drinking. That's talent!

Is She Saying What I Think She's Saying?
Is it her first word or just a ramble of random syllables?! Personally, I think that her first word is going to have to be "mama". I mean I AM the one that carried her for 8 1/2 months (she was a little early). It's just the right thing to do. She is way closer to saying "dada" (if she hasn't said it already), but I think she is going to realize that she is really wanting to say "mama" not "dada". It'll happen just you wait!

Family Easter
On Saturday we went to Jeremy's Aunt's house for a little Easter gathering. The kids had Easter baskets to go through, we all had an Easter egg hunt, and of course we had a wonderful meal. This was the first time that Hayden has not had a fit at one of these family gatherings! Everyone was finally able to see the happy sweet Hayden that Jeremy and I experience every day.

All Eyes on the Little Ones

Everyone watched intently as the kiddies opened their little Easter baskets. Blake, the blonde little one, was more excited about the green grass in Hayden's bucket than anything else! Go figure! Check out all of the cameras around, there's even a camcorder!

It'll Fit if We Tug and Cram....

I think that we have decided to give up on the whole search for a hat that will fit our child's head. This hat is a "one size" and it was just a little too small. We just can't find a hat that will fit. We are going to have to stick to the baseball hat, with the adjustable Velcro strip, that Grandma and Grandpa Milko got her. It's such a shame because she has some really cute hats!

Why Did You Say I Am I Down Here Again?

Aunt Nancy worked hard to hide Easter eggs for the children and adults. Here is Hayden trying to pick up one of the adult eggs.

Too Much Fun for One Afternoon

As you can see, Hayden was ready to go and take a nap towards the end of our visit. She even managed to fall asleep in mommy arms amidst all of the noise and commotion.

Cute, Cute, Cute
Last night we all went over to Jonathan and Rebecca's house (photographer) for dinner. We had such a great time and Hayden was so well behaved. We were also able to see the pictures that Rebecca took a few weeks ago. Here are just a few of my favorites!

Talking Away....and Fake Talking Too!
In this video Hayden does some fake talking....she moves her mouth but nothing comes out. I think that she is smart enough to know that I am videoing and she wants to fool the viewers into thinking that they don't have the volume turned up loud enough on their computers. I'm telling you, she's a very smart girl. Or maybe it's just that she likes the feel of her bottom teeth hitting her top gum. I personally think it's option number one though. Also, don't mind all of the plastic and cardboard behind her....we recycle!

Nap Time Sadness
Sometimes, Hayden isn't always happy about taking her naps (ok, she's never happy about it). Here is Hayden with her two different binkies this afternoon during nap time. She just likes to chew on them so it doesn't matter to her which way they go in her mouth. She's just so sad, it breaks my heart.

Imitation

Hayden has started to mimic our expressions, which is really funny. This picture was taken about 5 seconds after the one above. She saw me smile, so she wanted to smile but she was also sad. So, you get this half sad half happy face. She's just awesome!

1/2 a Year Old!
Can you believe it, Hayden is 6 months old today! She has done so many things in her first 6 months of life and you all have been with us to see them all!! And yes, sometimes I think I may have too much time on my hands, if you don't know what I am talking about check out her homemade 1/2 birthday hat! She's just so much fun to have around. I thank God for her every single day-what an amazing miracle!

Hoodie Who..

Last night we took a family field trip to the elementary school track that is right down the street. Daddy walked the track with Hayden in her stroller and mommy tried to run the track. I was trying to "run off" my Achilles tendon injury that is very annoying!! It didn't work so well though. Any way, we bundled Hayden up in her hoodie because we had a cold front come in.

More Hoodie Today

The weather was still cold this morning when we ran our errands so the hoodie went back on.

People have asked how many shots I have to take in order to get a good one of her smiling. The honest truth is that she is pretty much always smiling, especially when she sees the camera! Born to be a model!

Who knows what she is laughing at!

What a Talent!
Since Hayden did not want to nap (see below) she got to sit with mommy and watch her work on the computer. As I was waiting for pictures to upload onto the blog I looked over to find Hayden with a finger in her mouth, one in her nose, and one in her eye. I was only able to capture the nose mouth picture.

Here's a bit of a side shot. Don't mind the squash on her outfit.

Who Said It Was Nap Time?!

Here's the little one during nap time this afternoon. We got home from shoe shopping...that can be tricky with a baby in one arm, but it was fun! It was nap time, so I put her in her crib. I walked in about 10 minutes after I had put her down and here she was, just smiling. She made sure to be very quiet though....so sneaky!

The New Noise

It really sounds like Hayden is trying to whistle! She's pretty good at it, for a 6 month old with two bottom teeth that are 1/2 way in.

This was actually the first picture that I took when I busted her not sleeping in her crib, but I liked the close up smile picture better.

Here she was yesterday playing with her leap frog that Whitney got her. I think she likes the company in her crib while she is trying to fall asleep...or stay awake.

Finally, a Good Shot of the Teeth!
Hayden sat outside with me today while I weeded the garden....that is if you call weeding spraying Round Up on the weeds. I just wasn't in the mood to be bent over for 2 hours pulling those darn things, so I got it done in 20 minutes with the help of my weed killer spray! Any way, do you see her two bottom teeth now!? Remember, you can click on the picture and it will enlarge it, but I don't think you will need to do that.

Not So Lady Like...

Even with a skirt on Hayden will sleep like this, when she sleeps on her back. We really need to work on teaching her to be a lady! Thank goodness for those little bloomers!

Lazy Bums

Daddy wasn't feeling too well this morning so I went in to wake Hayden up. I decided that I would bring Hayden in our room in order to cheer daddy up. Look what happened...they both fell back to sleep!

Wake Up Daddy

When Hayden was finally ready to wake up this morning she wanted daddy awake too. So, she talked to him and when that didn't work she started to grab his face. I think he really enjoyed that.

Here Kitty Kitty

After Hayden was done messing with daddy she moved to Moo the cat. Moo wasn't giving her the time of day so Hayden talked to her and then grabbed her. Hayden ended up pushing Moo off the bed; I guess she got a little too excited. What a crazy kid.

Relaxing with Daddy
Tonight Hayden had a good time relaxing on the couch with daddy. I knew Auntember would love this picture with Hayden's face so close to Jeremy's foot!! She likes to play a game called Pull Daddy's Leg Hair....he has enough to spare!

Mommy & Hayden......

Daddy & Hayden

Easter Dress Photo Shoot
Well, here it is....the Easter dress that Pappy bought Hayden while he was in town last weekend. The flowers are from mommy's good friend, Whitney, who came over to visit last night. Whitney bought the white tulips especially for Miss Priss! She is going to be the most beautiful baby in the nursery on Easter Sunday, actually she will probably be the most beautiful person in church, maybe even in the whole world!

She just can't resist the urge to put the dress into her mouth.

Now that's more like it!

Newest Trick
Hayden's newest trick is to "talk" while she has peas in her mouth. She just thinks it's so funny to hear herself speak with food in her mouth. And of course, when she does this the peas spray everywhere! Look at how innocent she looks. It's as if she's saying, "Did I make that mess?"

And then she realizes that she can't keep a straight face any longer because she knows that she is the one who made the mess. Busted!

Who's Ready for Florida!?

Hayden just had to try on the bathing suit that Grandma and Grandpa Ross got her yesterday. Grandma Ross took Hayden and I out on a little shopping trip. Mommy got a dress, daddy got a pair of pants, and baby got a swim suit. It's a size 12 month....hopefully it will still fit in 4 months! Then again, a girl can't have too many swim suits!

Look What We Found!

We found another bathing suit in the drawer today! It was given to Hayden before she was even born. Like I said....a girl can never have too many bathing suits!

What a little princess!
