Running with Mommy?

Yes, I am still running. I finished the 40 Day running challenge and it was awesome. Now I have moved on to training for my second half marathon. It's in about 3 weeks! Yesterday when Layne brought me my shoes she had daddy's shoes on. She told me that she was ready to go running with me :) It was so cute.

*Don't mind Kit sprawled in the middle of the floor. It's almost like she's narcoleptic. That cat will just sprawl out anywhere at any moment and zonk out!

The other day the girls were "painting" our fingernails. I just got them a cup of water and some paint brushes and they ran a little salon. Even daddy received a manicure!

End of the Year Programs....

This morning Jeremy and I got to watch sweet Layner perform in the 2 year old End of the Year Program. She sang a little, looked around a lot, was very distracted, BUT didn't cry at all!

Tonight we headed back up to the preschool for Hayden's End of the Year Program. None of my pictures turned out, so I'll have to wait on Pop's. Well, I did manage to get this one of the little diddle. The program was adorable. All of the songs were about trains and this is how all the little kids were dressed!

Sometimes I look at our girls and I just can't even believe that God actually gave them to ME. They are both just so amazing in very different ways and I am so lucky to be their mommy!! Let the SUMMER begin!!

The big day and they both did wonderfully. Of course, we did bribe them with a new toy (didn't really need to bribe Hayden since she's an old pro at the flower princess gig). The rehearsal didn't go so well. There were a lot of tears and screams on Layne's part. I was pretty certain that it just wasn't going to happen. But they did great!

Florida Weekend

We headed down to Florida last weekend for Pappy's wedding. It was a nice little pre-summer get away. Of course, we had to spend some time in Pappy's pool!!

The flower princesses did a wonderful job! I did not even bring my camera on the trip-these were all taken with my phone. BUT, Morgan took some great pictures of the weekend, so I will post some of hers soon :)

Daddy has taken over the gardens this year! He prepared and planted the vegetable gardens and he's in the process of pruning and weeding the flower garden. The girls LOVE to help him.

Easter Sunday

Sunday after church we went over to Grandma and Pop's house for an Easter lunch. Everyone brought a little something to share and we all had a good meal together.

I'm glad that Pop took some pictures because we didn't take any of the girls in their dresses on Sunday! Plus it has been a while since we had a picture of the four of us taken!

I even "pulled Layne's hair back" using an elastic and barrette. She was so excited about it!

No other cousins were able to make it, so the girls hunted for Easter eggs all by themselves!

Easter!!

We did the egg thing this afternoon. For me, it's just so that I can make egg salad! Yummmm!

They both did such a great job dying all of the eggs.

We decided to let the girls find their Easter baskets tonight since we will be busy tomorrow. Layner found her in her stuffed animal basket. Don't you just love the look on her face!

Hayden tried to climb on the laundry basket (yes, clean clothes from this week that haven't been put away yet!!!) to get her down. Not quite tall enough!

Can't Even Stand It!

How cute are these darn things?! My mom sent me a website that had these on them. I'm pretty sure she said, "You have time in your busy weekend to whip these up....don't you?"

Well, I just couldn't pass them up! They are cone shaped (carrots) crescent rolls stuffed with egg salad!! Love them! Thanks for sharing mom. You knew that I'd just have to do them, huh?!
