Gwynn Updates

I'm so glad that we picked this toy up at the sale. She just loves it!

The growth spurt is still going on and we're hanging in there. It's crazy how she just wakes up and is ready to eat every 2 hours 15 minutes when she's going through a growth spurt! We are on day two of the growth spurt so maybe it's coming to an end? Another crazy thing about Gwynn when she goes through a growth spurt she sleeps really well at night! I am so thankful for that though. I couldn't imagine her waking up every 2 hours at night.

The girls are going to be owls for Halloween! Here's Gwynn's costume all finished. Hopefully I will finish the other two today. So cute and so cheap! Felt is so inexpensive!

Gwynn Meets World Week Fourteen

Marmee's Bracelet

On the last day that we were in Florida we stopped over at my dad's house to pack up some more of Marmee's things that he wanted to give us. As we were getting ready to leave he gave me a jewelry box that had this bracelet in it. I have seen it on Marmee's wrist for as long as I can remember. My dad told me that he got if for her many many years ago but they won't let her wear jewelry at the nursing home so he got it back. He said that she is an amazing mother and so am I so he wanted me to have her bracelet. I am still so touched to be wearing the bracelet of such and outstanding woman!
When the girls spent the night at his place he was able to see just how much Hayden and Layne love each other and take care of one another. That really is true. Of course, they have their moments when they fight but it's pretty rare. They really are amazing girls. I am so blessed to be their mommy!

Cute Stuff

I HATE Play Doh! But, I don't mind the girls playing with leftover fondant when I am working on a cake. I did a small cake for someone at DP that had made a donation for the Bosnia trip that Jeremy took last year. She had so many ladybug sugar cookies at Layne's 3rd birthday that the thought of getting more made her sick. So, she asked me if I could just make a small cake for her wedding anniversary instead. So....I did. And Layne and Hayden got to play with the fondant. Hayden even took out the cookie cutters and made each of us a special fondant dessert!

I can't believe how great Wynnie is at holding that head up. It doesn't last long and she hates being on her tummy, but she is good at it!

Wynnie and I took a trip the the HUGE consignment sale yesterday to look for a few toys for her. She is starting to get "more active" and I knew I could get some great deals on toys there. She wasn't so sure about this ball that rolls by itself. I think that it kind of freaked her out!

$3 for these adorable little size zero booties! I could not resist!!

While We Were Away.....

Jeremy painted all of our bedroom furniture while we were in Florida! When I saw it I was wondering if he went out and bought new stuff because it looks SO different! I love it!

Happy Baby! Even though Gwynn is totally out of her routine she has been pretty happy this week. Of course, she has her moments of madness....being put in the car/car seat repeatedly, having to take cat naps in our arms instead of her crib that she loves, and early evenings have been a little rough. I think it's been a good taste of parenthood for Johnny and Mwende. Their little bundle will be here in February!!

Yesterday the girls and I went to the airport to pick up daddy then we headed over to Pappy and Melody's to visit and see their new house. We had a nice lunch, got the tour, and hung out for a while. The girls even have a bedroom at the new house! It's complete with princess posters, Tinkerbell bedding, and a dollhouse! The girls slept over there last night and I can't wait to hear all about it. I know that they had lots of fun things planned-movies, sugar cookie baking, popcorn and ice cream, birthday shopping, decorating the house for Halloween, and donuts for breakfast!!

BEACH.....

The girls and Pap stayed in the water for probably 2.5 hours! They were little prunes when they got out.

Mom, Gwynn, and I just stayed out. The sun was a little too hot and bright for Wynnie. Fortunately, she slept most of the time.

Hayden said that she wasn't to say here forever!

Florida!

We made it to Florida. The car ride wasn't too bad. Gwynn cried some, but was pretty good for the most part. The girls were just in their own little world in the way back.
Gwynn and I are staying at Johnny and Mwende's house. In case you didn't know, Mwende is pregnant (23 weeks along) with their first baby....a little BOY! So, it's been a nice little taste for them to have Wynnie around :)
The girls are staying at Grandma and Pap's place. I know those girls tire them out!! But they are having a blast.
I took this picture yesterday morning in the car right before Wynnie and I headed over to Grandma and Pap's house. What a little doll baby!

Wynnie loves Pap. She just smiles and chats it up with him.

We packed the car FULL and headed to the beach yesterday.

The girls have been waiting to go to the beach. They COULD NOT wait!

Our new bed!! Jeremy built it in about 3 or 4 days. The baseboard is hinged for storage space. The sides have three compartments for more storage! We're going to paint it a flat black. Isn't it beautiful?!
