More Gardening
This is what the girls and daddy did on Saturday while I was running 11.5 miles! Isn't it beautiful! Yes, Layne is wearing tights...just tights. She likes her pants to be tight. She only likes tights, leggings, spandex, and her skinny jeans :) Oh and then there's Hayden....what a little princess!

Gardening and Drawing
The girls helped me plant some flowers last night. I just love teaching them how to do new things. I feel like I am passing skills on to them all the time. It's just so neat!
Gotta break up those roots so that the flower will come out of the pot!
Getting some dirt for the planter.
Breaking up those roots!
Squeezing the sides of the pot to help the plant come out.
Now it's time to really break up those roots!
All done!
Look at Hayden's writing and drawing!

Project Night
Last night Hayden had project night at her school. It was a time for all of the families to come to school and see all of the kids projects that they have been working on. Next year Hayden is going to have to do a project on an animal that she chooses.

Horse Park Fun!
Today we went to the Horse Park for a nice walk/bike ride. I can't believe how great the girls have gotten at riding their bikes on that road!
Wynnie and I just walked. Ok, I walked and Wynnie just sat in the stroller and enjoyed the ride!
Crazy girls!
Aren't they just the cutest!!??
The highlight of the whole thing was when they saw these two horses. You should have seen these two girlies trying to catch up to these horses. They did it and it just made their day!
Circus Fun!
On Saturday a deer sweet friend of ours offered to take Hayden to the circus with them....they had a free ticket! Here is Hayden with Ryleigh after the circus. They both got princess wands! They had a BLAST!
On the way to the circus!
Afterwards they stopped for a bit to eat. Here are all the kiddos that went.
She even came home with a special present for her sister! A cute little elephant purse.

Peas Please
Wynnie loves food....especially table food! Last night it was peas and carrots with a little bread in there too! About half of it ends up in her lap or high chair, but she's learning!
Yes, Sugar and Spice Sweets now takes credit cards!
Layne showing us how she flosses her teeth. I honestly don't think that anything would get stuck in between those gappy teeth, but it's good to learn though! She's learning all about fires and her teeth this week at school. Interesting combo!
This is Hayden's new favorite thing to do on the way home from school. I pick her up first and then we drive about 10 minutes to pick Layner up....that's when she does her homework! She keeps a pencil in her book bag for that very purpose!! I don't know if I told all of you yet, but her teacher emailed me and she's like to have her tested for Program Challenge (the gifted program)! We are super excited, but we haven't even told Hayden. We just don't want her to feel any pressure. We know that she's smart whether she gets into the program or not!
More peas! Look at that concentration!!

Sunny Funday Sunday
What a crazy girl!
One of her friends from school last year stopped by with her dad to drop something off to me and I called Hayden to come and see her friend....she came running down the back ramp with this on. I was like, "Umm, you may want to take those eyebrows and that mustache off!" She had totally forgotten that they were on!
Hayden had to do a diarama for a required school wide project. She had to pick a book and then do a project that included the main character and a scene from the story. So, we went to the library on Wednesday night to get A Bad Case of Stripes. It was checked out, so on Thursday we went to the Covington Library to get it. Then today we did the project!!
Crazy Layner!
Layne is just soaking in all of this stuff...because next year she'll be doing it all too!!
It was such a beautiful afternoon.
The finished project!
Basically, this girl likes lima beans but she pretends that she doesn't because she wants people to like her and she thinks if they knew she liked lima beans they wouldn't like her. So, all of a sudden one day she get stripes and has to go to school with stripes all over her. Everyone tries to figure out why and all of the remedies don't work. This scene in the book is where the doctors give her lots of pills to take and she turns into a pill! Finally an old lady comes over and advises her to eat lima beans. She does and she turns back to normal! Hayden wanted to add all of the lima beans all around her project. I thought that it was such a great idea! Of course we didn't have lima beans, so we had to run to the store tonight to get them! Project is finished....5 days early too! I think that she did an outstanding job...don't you?!
