Oh the drama! Not sure what it is with my girls and finding eggs at school, but the two just don't mesh for some reason! This one even involved tears! Hayden just didn't want to find egg by herself. I had Ella in a stroller so I couldn't do it and Layne didn't want any part of it. What a mess. It ended well as you can tell!
Then it was time for their picnic lunch. They have been looking forward to this all week.....who knew that a lunchable could make their day!
Then it was time to play! Layner just fit right in.
Hartlee brought in cupcakes for her birthday so everyone had a nice treat to finish the day. Now it's time for Spring Break!!!
Ella loves these little puppets. She loves to play in Gwynn's room. She just crawls around, plays, and laughs!
She's getting to be such a big girl!!
Aren't these the cutest things?! Little animal chairs! Saw them at BJ's the other day.
Corn on the cob is one of the girls spring/summer food favs!
They even use those little corn cob holder things.
Keeping Ella occupied while at the grocery store. I give her some shopper cards and she slips them in and out of a pocket in my purse. Keeps her happy :)
Today Layne had an Easter Egg hunt at her school. She was beyond excited about it. I took some video that will be up in a little bit. It kind of seemed like she didn't know what to to do....but I know that she does. She got three eggs! What a little cutie!
Layne with her class!
Last night after life groups we took the girls to the park. They had a blast!
Our little fearless monkey!
Yesterday Jeremy and I had a big staff meeting up at Discover Point. Faith and Brian said that they'd hang out with the girlies all afternoon. They went to a park for a little picnic, played at their house, went to a yard sale in the neighborhood, and went to the neighborhood park!! They had a blast!!! It's so great to be park of a church family that loves our girls as much as we do! Thanks Faith and Brian.
We went to the Cherry Blossom Festival today. I LOVE the Cherry Blossom Festival!! Here was a tent with tons of garden statues....Layne was in heaven!
We found the jumpers and slides!
Layne decided that she was NOT going to do the slide at the end of the obstacle course. She totally back tracked and came out the entrance!
Not only did she go the wrong way, she influenced others to follow her!!!
Free Easter bunny pictures!!!
They had an horse event going on too. The girls really enjoyed watching the horse jump over the obstacles.
Last night we went to Home Depot to get some things. Layner helped daddy carry the long poles. It was just the cutest.
Yesterday I took Layne to the park after school. We had a picnic lunch and then we played in the park. All she wanted to do was swing, swing, swing!
Hayden is studying transportation at school. She had a project that was assigned about 3 weeks ago. For some reason I just put it off and put it off. I realized YESTERDAY that this project was due tomorrow!! I wanted to do a paper mache hot air balloon....and I even attempted to do that this morning. Yes, I said I (not Hayden!). I was just going to get the paper mache part going and dry so that she could decorate it tonight. I put the balloon paper mache in the oven at 200 degrees (which I looked up and it was a good way to get the project dried FAST!). The balloon expanded and tore the top of the paper mache. So, that was the end of that. Then I remembered that I had these cute rainbow paper things in the crawlspace from Layne's first birthday!!! Yes, I keep most of their party decorations because I reuse a lot! So, when Hayden got home from school we started to assemble her hot air balloon project together....the way it should be done! She even has a little ballerina in the basket.
Well, this precious little girl now has THREE due dates! It's pretty ridiculous is you ask me, but I will try to explain.
My first due date is July 7th. That is based on the date of my last period (October 1st). The problem with that is that it's based on a normal 28 day cycle. That month I did NOT have a 28 day cycle-that's why I ended up pregnant. My cycle had been "normal" for 6 months but then in October my body just played a little trick on us :) Randomly I had a 45 day cycle.
My second due date is July 19th (our anniversary). That one is based on the ultrasounds and the measurements of Gwynn. That one seems pretty accurate to me.
My thrid due date is July 24th. That one is based on the date that I know we conceived Gwynn (October 31st). The reason why we know the date of conception with her is because we (really just Jeremy) were very careful to track my cycle to know when I was ovulating and not ovulating. So that he would know when he really needed to be careful. Problem with that, like I said, was the my cycle was off by 2 weeks and there was no way for us to know that.
God is just teaching me in another way that I can not control this! We have no idea when sweet Gwynn will come, He does though. We will just wait and trust Him that she will come in His perfect timing. If Gwynn's due date is the biggest problem that I have to be concerned about with this pregnancy that's pretty awesome. And so far it is! I had an appointment today and got to hear her heartbeat and she sounds perfect.
Ella Jane's Birthday party is Tomorrow!!! It was so great to have a reason to use both of my stand mixers at the same time...just like the good old days again. I really have been missing baking cakes, cookies, and other goodies for people. But, it's a lot harder trying to get it all done while pregnant. I just feel like I am moving in slow motion! Her cake is going to be three tiers-white almond with buttercream, strawberry with strawberry buttercream, and chocolate chocolate chip with chocolate buttercream. And of course she'll have her own little smash cake.....or smoosh cake as Layne says :)
Hayden doesn't have school today or Monday. So she was able to hang out with Layne, Ella, and I all day today! She started the morning with a little dress up. It was an interesting "test" with three girls in the house all day today :)
Hayden put this ladybug hat on Ella and she just loved it! It was so cute that we had to give it to her. I can't believe this precious baby is going to be one!!
I was talking with Lisa in the driveway today and Hayden had my phone. THIS is what she took a picture of!! What the heck is Roxy doing peeing on the driveway?? I don't have any idea!
Yesterday we went over to great grandma's house. She wanted to take us shopping for something special for baby gwynn. She ended up getting her a beautiful infant swing. Of course she had to get the girls a little something too. Bubbles!! It was a great afternoon spent with great grandma
