I know she isn't 5 weeks till tomorrow, but I just couldn't wait to post this cuteness!!

1 Month Check Up

Gwynn had her 1 month check up this morning! It felt so weird going to the doctor with just one child again. She is growing and doing well! I talked with the doctor about Gwynn's gassy problems. She doesn't really complain about gas, but I hear her tummy rumble and she poots a lot! Doctor said that if she's not complaining about it, it's nothing to worry about. She also has a rash on her diaper area. I wasn't sure if it was diaper rash since it wasn't getting any better when I put the butt paste on it. She said that it may be yeast. So, we got a prescription to treat that. Hope that goes away soon. Gwynn doesn't complain about that either though! Ok, so here are her numbers.....Weight-9 pounds 11 ounces (75%), Height-21 3/4 inches (75%), Head Circumference-38 1/2 centimeters (75%). Now, before you get all excited and think that Gwynn is going to be an average or above girl when it comes to those measurements.....that's how Hayden and Layne started out too. Between 6 to 9 months is when the girls decide that they don't want to be above average anymore. Genetics take over and they fall below average! We shall see what Miss Wynnie wants to do :)

Water Fight!

The other day when it rained the girls decided that they'd go outside to have some fun. They ended up getting soaked because they had a water fight with Aunt September!

They started by filling containers with water from the pool.

Fun fun. They wanted the rain to fill them up, but they quickly realized that it would take WAY too long to do that.

Aunt September came outside with Gwynn's bathtub FULL of water. She told the girls that she was cleaning it out. Once they came close to see what she was doing they got soaked!! And the battle began!

Some Sister Love

While September was in town she showed me Instagram and I am IN LOVE with it! It's an app for your phone that basically lets you edit your photos to make them look awesome! Here are some that I took and edited with Instagram.

As you can tell, the girls just absolutely adore little Gwynn. They are both such amazing helpers. They love to do things to help me and to help little sister. I can't wait till Gwynn gets a little older. The girls are going to have so much fun with her.

Ok, we have our nickname for Gwynn....Wynnie. Like Winnie from The Wonder Years only spelled a little differently. It's a great name for her :)

The Growth Update!

Here's an update to Jeremy's cyst. He went to his appointment on Monday and the PA took one look and said, "Yep, that's a cyst and we need to drain it. Take off your shirt and lay on your stomach". She numbed it and got busy getting the junk out. Jeremy said that it was still very painful even though she had numbed it. He said that she squeezed it for about 10 minutes! She then wrote him a prescription for an antibiotic and that was that. It's still very painful and still draining. He has been out of town for the past three days working with John and his dad. He dad has been the one to "tend to the wound".....thankfully. These are two pictures that he sent us last night of Jeremy's growth. I told Jeremy I just don't know if I will be able to squeeze that stuff out. I mean I want to help him, but that it some nasty stuff! Slowly but surely it's healing. His advice to anyone that has a cyst is to GET IT REMOVED before it ruptures!!

Squishy Bath!

Aunt September found this crazy powder stuff that you put into bath water. It turns the bath water into slush. It's so weird. Here she is getting ready to put the stuff in.

The New Dresses

Aunt September had special presents from Grandma when she came in! Beautiful dresses, necklaces, and magnets. Thanks Grandma....the girls love love love their dresses.

Hayden has pictures day on Friday and this is what she wants to wear. Mommy had to say no....no sleeveless dresses at school!

Layne's First Day!

Here's Layne on her very first day as a pre-Ker at Peachtree Academy! She didn't even want me to walk her in on her first day. What a big girl!!

After we picked Hayden and Layne up at school we headed to Sonic for a special treat....Yay for Layne having a good first day at school. The girls ended up playing Simon Says with Aunt September. Yes, it involved doing the limbo! It was a lot easier for the girls.



And by now, I think that you all know what Gwynn was doing the whole time :)

The Growth....

I am writing most of this above the pictures so that you can decide NOT to look if you'd like. This is going to be a nasty post....WARNING! So, Jeremy has had this nickel sized cyst on his back for as long as I have known him. Not a big deal, never caused him any trouble.....until now! About a week and a half ago it started becoming red, swollen, larger, and painful. He really has tried to hide the pain, but now it's getting pretty unbearable, especially when someone pats him on the back innocently. That happened last night at church and he said that he almost hit the floor because of the pain. Well, I made him an appointment with a dermatologist   (actually as PA at a dermatologists office since the wait to see the actual doctor was 3 weeks!). He goes this morning and I am assuming that they are going to drain it and he'll be done with this growth forever! If you are interested in seeing what it looks like to drain a cyst you can youtube it, I did! Poor Layne was sitting with me while I pulled it up on Jeremy's Kindle. We were both so disgusted. Then Jeremy had to watch it and he was grossed out. Then of course Hayden just had to see it. She could not finish watching it! Jeremy has since passed it on to Philip who is now trying to get everyone to see the video. So gross! I will give you an update on Jeremy's little friend after his appointment. Below are pictures of his back buddy :) Enjoy.  

Buck-a-Rama

Daddy took the girlies to the Buck-A-Rama today. They had a blast! They got their faces painted, shot paintball guns, bounced in bounce houses, rode a tractor, watched people shoot guns, they even got to see lots of dead/stuffed animals. They both had a great time with some great daddy/daughter bonding time too! They even got to see John, Hannah, and Grant there too!

Hayden washed hers off too fast, but she got a tiger on her face and Layne had a princess! Who goes to a Buck-A-Rama manly redneck event and gets a princess painted on her face....only my sweet Layner! I am surprised that daddy allowed that!

Creamberry Celebration!

I took the girls to get ice cream today......Hayden finished her first week of kindergarten!! When we walked in the guy working said, "Hey, my girls are back!!" Grandma took the girls there A LOT while she was in town a few weeks ago. We own a small family business so we have to support other small family businesses!

Layne's Orientation

We took a trip to Peachtree Academy for Layne's orientation this morning. A new year, a new school, and a new teacher! It's going to be a good year and Layne is ready for it!

Morning Walk

We've been pretty busy this morning. We dropped Hayden off at school then went to Wal-Mart and Office Depot. After the morning feed we decided to take a nice walk in the neighborhood. She's just easy to do stuff with because she's so scheduled already. And if she does wake up or get fussy she takes a binkie so well that I don't really have to worry about her causing a scene. I do still have to be careful about getting her out too much....I need to give her time to get all of my protective antibodies so that she can stay healthy! I can't wait till it starts to cool down a little in the mornings. That will be perfect for when we start our morning run routine! Hope that she likes the jogging stroller that Matt and Jamie gave us because she's going to be seeing a lot of that very soon-I'm just waiting for my 6 week check up so I can get clearance to start running again.
I am sort of looking forward to Layne going to school on Monday just so we can start to develop our own "new normal" around here.
Schedule Update: Gwynn has continued to do very well with her schedule. She is now able to stay awake during nursing time so that she can eat from both sides (Yahoo!!). She is also able to stay awake after I feed her for a nice little "awake time". By little....I mean little. She would much rather sleep, so I keep her up for about 30 minutes after she eats. That's about all she can stay awake. Then she sleeps for a good 2 hours and most of the time I have to wake her up to start the cycle all over again! Night time has had it's good and bad points. The last two nights it's taken me between 1 1/2 to 2 hours to get her to bed. She either wakes up crying about 10 minutes after I feed her or she's just wide awake and doesn't want to go to sleep. It's not too terrible though, because I'm still able to go to bed around 11:30 once she finally settles down. The good news is that she's only woken up ONCE in the middle of the night the past two nights. Two nights ago it was a 5 hour stretch and last night it was a 4 1/2 hour stretch. That's pretty darn good for a 3 week old! She's right about where Layne was when she was Gwynn's age. I do think that Gwynn is a better napper though :)

Gwynn Meets World Week Three

Writing Letters

Layne got a book out and started copying letters down. I don't think that she actually spelled anything, she's just copying letters. The book that she picked is a very special book. It's a personalized book that I have had since I was very young. It's been around for probably 20 years or so! She's so ready for school to start next week!

Stacked Sisters

I saw a picture like this on Pinterest and wanted to try it. I will have to admit that it was a little rushed and scary because Layne doesn't have a wide back for baby sister to lay on. I was afraid that she was going to fall off. She didn't though :)

Chillin' On The Boppy!

After bath time this afternoon Gwynn just hung out on her boppy and watched her sisters play.

Bike Rider
