The Cherry Blossom Festival

We went to the Cherry Blossom Festival today. I LOVE the Cherry Blossom Festival!! Here was a tent with tons of garden statues....Layne was in heaven!

We found the jumpers and slides!

Layne decided that she was NOT going to do the slide at the end of the obstacle course. She totally back tracked and came out the entrance!

Not only did she go the wrong way, she influenced others to follow her!!!

Free Easter bunny pictures!!!

They had an horse event going on too. The girls really enjoyed watching the horse jump over the obstacles.

Last night we went to Home Depot to get some things. Layner helped daddy carry the long poles. It was just the cutest.

Down on the Farm

Baby Bump Week 23

Welcome Spring!

Yesterday I took Layne to the park after school. We had a picnic lunch and then we played in the park. All she wanted to do was swing, swing, swing!

Hayden is studying transportation at school. She had a project that was assigned about 3 weeks ago. For some reason I just put it off and put it off. I realized YESTERDAY that this project was due tomorrow!! I wanted to do a paper mache hot air balloon....and I even attempted to do that this morning. Yes, I said I (not Hayden!). I was just going to get the paper mache part going and dry so that she could decorate it tonight. I put the balloon paper mache in the oven at 200 degrees (which I looked up and it was a good way to get the project dried FAST!). The balloon expanded and tore the top of the paper mache. So, that was the end of that. Then I remembered that I had these cute rainbow paper things in the crawlspace from Layne's first birthday!!! Yes, I keep most of their party decorations because I reuse a lot! So, when Hayden got home from school we started to assemble her hot air balloon project together....the way it should be done! She even has a little ballerina in the basket.

Due Date!?

Well, this precious little girl now has THREE due dates! It's pretty ridiculous is you ask me, but I will try to explain. 

My first due date is July 7th. That is based on the date of my last period (October 1st). The problem with that is that it's based on a normal 28 day cycle. That month I did NOT have a 28 day cycle-that's why I ended up pregnant. My cycle had been "normal" for 6 months but then in October my body just played a little trick on us :) Randomly I had a 45 day cycle. 

My second due date is July 19th (our anniversary). That one is based on the ultrasounds and the measurements of Gwynn. That one seems pretty accurate to me. 

My thrid due date is July 24th. That one is based on the date that I know we conceived Gwynn (October 31st). The reason why we know the date of conception with her is because we (really just Jeremy) were very careful to track my cycle to know when I was ovulating and not ovulating. So that he would know when he really needed to be careful. Problem with that, like I said, was the my cycle was off by 2 weeks and there was no way for us to know that. 

God is just teaching me in another way that I can not control this! We have no idea when sweet Gwynn will come, He does though. We will just wait and trust Him that she will come in His perfect timing. If Gwynn's due date is the biggest problem that I have to be concerned about with this pregnancy that's pretty awesome. And so far it is! I had an appointment today and got to hear her heartbeat and she sounds perfect.

Odds and Ends

Ella Jane's Birthday party is Tomorrow!!! It was so great to have a reason to use both of my stand mixers at the same time...just like the good old days again. I really have been missing baking cakes, cookies, and other goodies for people. But, it's a lot harder trying to get it all done while pregnant. I just feel like I am moving in slow motion! Her cake is going to be three tiers-white almond with buttercream, strawberry with strawberry buttercream, and chocolate chocolate chip with chocolate buttercream. And of course she'll have her own little smash cake.....or smoosh cake as Layne says :)

Hayden doesn't have school today or Monday. So she was able to hang out with Layne, Ella, and I all day today! She started the morning with a little dress up. It was an interesting "test" with three girls in the house all day today :)

Hayden put this ladybug hat on Ella and she just loved it! It was so cute that we had to give it to her. I can't believe this precious baby is going to be one!!

I was talking with Lisa in the driveway today and Hayden had my phone. THIS is what she took a picture of!! What the heck is Roxy doing peeing on the driveway?? I don't have any idea!

Hanging with Great Grandma

Yesterday we went over to great grandma's house. She wanted to take us shopping for something special for baby gwynn. She ended up getting her a beautiful infant swing. Of course she had to get the girls a little something too. Bubbles!! It was a great afternoon spent with great grandma

The View From Above!

Yesterday a friend of mine, that is pregnant with a girl and due a week after me, posted a cute picture like this. I just loved it and had to do it. So, today while Ella and I waited to pick Layne up at school I took a few pictures. Baby bump that holds little Miss Gwynn safe and sound. By the way she kicks you'd think that she wants out in a bad way!! 

Chores

The girls came home from church today with little chore cups. There are 7 pictures of 7 different chores that they can do throughout the week. It's to teach them responsibility and serving others. They were super excited about it!! I told them that after nap time they could do a chore!

Hayden picked washing dishes. Jeremy pulled me aside and said, "Since this is her first time and she IS 5 please don't correct her. I will just rewash them all later." Did he think that I would actually correct her?! Honestly, it's probably a good thing that he DID say something because I may just have tried to step in and assist her :)

Layne picked sweeping. Roxy likes to take Mazie's bed into her cage and pull out the brown stuffing in it. So, Layne wanted to sweep that up.

She even got dressed for the cleaning occasion. One of her old Easter dresses that Pappy bought her and of course her princess crown. Maybe she is trying to retell a new version of Cinderella?!
They both completed their chores wonderfully!!

Baby Bump Week 21

Park Day!

After school we picked up a special lunch and had a picnic at the park. I had a conference with Layne's teacher at school today. Layne is doing so well. It's so great to have a conversation with someone that thinks your child is a great as you do!!

And of course Ella came with us too! She loves the swing!!


Layne is not afraid to do anything and she doesn't really like help, such an independent child.

She was determined to get across this chain bridge thing. She kept falling, but she'd climb right back up and try again.

Crazy Hair

Exciting update! Layners hair is growing!! It is very full. I think that its only a matter of time before she is sporting a ponytail. Maybe by the time Gwynn gets here?

What A Beautiful Name!

I just fell in love with this on Etsy! With the other two girls we had the letter to their names painted on canvases that hung on the wall with ribbons. I wanted to do a little something different with Gwynn though. Perfect! 

I'm now trying to decide if I want to put little black dashed loopy lines behind the ladybugs, kind of like their walking path. What do you think?

Jeremy's boss gave us this jeep probably about 2 years ago. It didn't have a battery so we just kept it in the crawlspace. Well, Jeremy's aunt just gave us a battery for it....so here we go!!

Hayden is a very good driver. Layne is questionable......ok, she's terrible!

Lovely Ladies

Gwynn's bedding came yesterday. I love craigslist! It's a ladybug theme. I feel in love with this bedding because it had ladybugs (which was the theme of Layne's 3rd birthday so the nursery already has tons of ladybug stuff in there!), it was red, pink, and green (so I didn't have to re-paint the walls), and because it was gently used on craigslist and cheap! Love love love it.

This is what Layne's hair looks like after she has it pulled up for school and then takes it out during the school day. Goober!

How did this happen?! Hayden isn't a baby or toddler anymore. She is getting so big and starting to look so old to me! Ugh!!
