Cuties and Pinterest

Don't you just want to eat her up!? She's just so stinking cute. This was taken a few nights ago....her first night sleeping through the night! 10pm to 6am!! Yahoo.

Hayden said to me, "Mommy, does this sign say No Peaches?" She is doing so well with her sight words. I think she knows about 50 of them so far. If she memorizes 100 sight words then she gets a medal!!

I saw this shot on Pinterest and just had to try it. I just love it in black and white!

Hayden and Layne just love their little sister so much!

Hayden got a birthday card from Toys R Us with a $3 gift card in it. So, Friday we went shopping. She picked out this balloon kit. I really wasn't thinking. I have a fear of balloons popping. It goes back to when I was in elementary school. It was field day and there was a relay race set up. We had to get a balloon, run down to a crate, put the balloon on the crate, and sit on it to pop it! We all had out PF uniforms on (it was a private school) which consisted of white t-shirts with the school logo printed on it and tiny red gym shorts with white trim. These shorts offered NO protection from the popping balloon. It was pure torture and now I have this fear of popping balloons. So, when it's time for the girls to twist and turn these balloons in order to create their "animals" they go far away from mommy :) What was I thinking?!

Spa and Spiders

One of the girls favorite things to do is play hair salon! They love to do mommy and daddy's hair. Here's Hayden's creation last night.

Hayden's party is just about a week away so it's time to get busy. All of the ideas are in my head, now I just need to actually do them. The Dollar Tree is awesome. I found pretty much EVERYTHING for Hayden's spa party there. Fun times....can't wait!

This writing spider is huge! All spread out like that he's probably the size of a tennis ball. He has his web in a bush that has flowers that bumble bees love....and he loves the bumble bees! It kind of looks like he's a Steelers Fan sporting the black and gold!

Gwynn Chatting It Up

Clothes

We broke out the long sleeved shirts today! The cool weather is so nice even though I don't think it will stick around for long. I'll be honest, I switched her closet today and put away all of her 0-3 month clothes and hung up all of her 3-6 month clothes! I just wanted a change :) Thanks to Kari, she has SO MANY cute things to wear.

Here she is helping me sort the laundry this morning. Doesn't it look like she's actually helping!?

Sleepy Baby

Here's the beautiful baby at her 2 month check up yesterday. She was so good in the waiting room. She just sat on my lap and looked all around. I even got a few smiles out of her. She wasn't a big fan of the docotor though. By the time we saw the doctor Gwynn had fallen asleep, so I had to waker her up. And she HATED the shots. It just broke my heart.

She was pretty sleepy until about 4:30 yesterday. I guess it was a side effect from the shot. She just looked really out of it when she was awake. All is back to normal now though. It was nice for me because I LOVED holding Hayden and Layne (when they were little) and rocking them in the glider. Well, Gwynn is so used to being swaddled and falling asleep in her crib that she hate for me to hold her and rock her. Not yesterday though! She was so out of it and sleepy that she fell right to sleep. It was awesome!

Cow girl with pink cow girl books and one pigtail!

Daddy is building a box stand to take to the hunting land. Both John and Jeremy have three kids (only 1 of them is a boy!). They'd like to have a place to take the kids when they go hunting. So, it will be a box stand in the woods.

Gwynn is getting more content every day. She is now starting to like other things other than her playmat! Here she is last night in her bouncy seat. I got this cute little outfit at the consignment sale the other night. Isn't it adorable. I think it was $2!!

Babies and Games

Gwynn was just sitting on the couch this afternoon while I was putting my shoes on. I turned around and looked at her and she just looked so darn cute!
She had a rough day with very little napping yesterday. Maybe it was part of this long growth spurt or something....babies can be so confusing some times. But today has been outstanding! She has eaten well, played hard, and napped well! She's napped so well today that I am a little nervouse about her sleeping tonight! We shall see.

Today the girls matched and balled their socks. Once they had them balled they got to "shoot" them in the drawer for 2 points! They had so much fun organizing their sock drawer!!

And look who joined us today!!

Close Ups

She has discovered that those hands can kind of fit in the mouth. She hasn't totally figured out how it all works yet.

Look at how great she's doing at tummy time!!

Happy Girl

Don't you just love this shirt. The mornings are a tiny bit cool so I put her in jeans and a long sleeved shirt. I'll have to change her by lunchtime though since it will be warm out! It's just nice to put her in some different clothes.

During tummy time today the sun was shining in on her and I thought it made for such a great picture. Mommy has not been doing the best about making sure that she's on her tummy every day. I am going to be better about it though. She just hates it so much and I feel bad. It's good for her muscles though, so I gotta do it!

Growth Spurt

Isn't she just the cutest?! The past few days have been kind of rough. I don't remember growth spurts with the other two at all. Although I am sure they went through them! Gwynn is normally on a 3 to 3.5 hour schedule. And she does very well with it. Well, the past few days she's been eating every 2 to 2.5 hours and only napping for about 30 to 45 minutes. It's been rough on mommy! Fortunately, her nights haven't been that way though. One night she went 7 hours! I think that the growth spurt may be over. This mornings nap is back to normal. We will just have to wait and see how the rest of the day plays out though.
This picture was taken yesterday before we headed to Peachtree Academy for Discover Point's 7th Anniversary picnic. It was a great day for a picnic too. Everyone ate together and then there was a staff vs volunteers football game. I didn't play this year though. Volunteers won for the first time! Just by a touchdown though. All the guys are pretty sore today :) Hayden and Layne just played and played with their friends on the playground. Gwynn and I hung out in the shade. It was still pretty hot for the little peanut though.

I just love sister shots!

It's That Time Again!

Some of you may recall my post almost two years ago (Go back and check it out! September 14, 2010) when I drove up the driveway to find Jeremy's hunting wardrobe all over the front deck. He even created his own little "man line" out of a metal rod so that he could drape some of the clothes. It was one of those moments when reality hit me........This is MY life. There's another funny one on November 23, 2010 that you should check out!
Well, yesterday I came walking down the hallway ready to get some stuff done while Gwynn was napping and I about jumped out of my skin! It appeared as if two men dressed in camo were standing on the front porch just looking in the windows. Then I took a closer look and realized it's that time again. Jeremy was preparing for opening weekend again. That means he washes and air dries all of his hunting camo.  It's always nice to get that sudden reminder that I am married to a redneck. I was just telling someone the other day two of my favorite realizations about hunting and rednecks. Not sure if I have ever shared these on the blog or not.
The first one is from when I lived in Pittsburgh. We lived in Fox Chapel which had a very wooded area (well, it was all wooded!) called Trillium Trail. On the rare ocasions that I ran, I would run through there. Loved it! Anyway, deer love trillium apparently. If you don't have trillium growing in the Trillium Trial then it's just a trail! So, I heard on the news that "they were calling in the hunters to bow hunt the deer" since they were overpopulated and eating all the trillium. At that point in my live I did not actually know anyone that hunted. I assumed that "the hunters" were people that hunted for a profession. I had NO idea that one would kill animals as a hobby! So, in my mind they were calling 1-800-hunters to get the job done! Little did I know that I would not only meet but MARRY a hunter when I moved down to Georgia!
The other story happened when I moved down to Georgia. I met Jeremy at Heritage Hills at a Friday night concert. Kenneth and Angie actually set us up :) I then saw him again that Sunday when I attended HHBC with Kenneth and Angie. Next thing I knew it was Wednesday of that week and Jeremy was calling me up to see if I'd like company on my road trip to Ohio that weekend! I of course said yes. All of that is important to this story, I promise! So, that Friday I drove to Jeremy's house (he lived with his parents at the time) to pick him up. Keep in mind that I had only known him for ONE week and up to that point there were no indications that he was an outdoors man (aka:redneck). All of that was about to change though! I rang their doorbell and he invited me inside. When I walked into their family room I realized I had been dooped! There were deer heads on the walls! It's a very rustic home so they fit in with the decor very well. Maybe he's not a redneck, maybe they just went to the store and purchased these to "complete the look of the room"?! We headed on out way to Ohio and it was during that road trip that I realized I was bringing a redneck to one of my friends weddings. Not only that, but two of my best friends were about to meet him!
The other funny part of the story comes when I talked to one of my best buddies from Pittsburgh a month or so later. I was telling him all about Jeremy. Of course I told him that Jeremy hunted and had been born and raised in the south. Here were his questions that followed:
~Does he drive a beat up pick up truck? Well, it's old but not really beat up
~Does it have a big gun rack with lots of guns on it in the back? NO
~Does he wear overalls? NO
~Does he has a piece of wheat sticking out of his mouth at all times? NO
~Does he has a southern accent? YES
When I was living in Pittsburgh if someone would have told me that I would move to GA and marry and "outdoors man" I would have NEVER believed it. But, I am so glad that this is the way that my live has worked out. God knew what he was doing when He brought me down here and introduced me to my redneck man! I know that I make fun of him for being an outdoors man, but the truth is that I couldn't imagine my life without that southern boy!

Bike Ride 'n Jog

This afternoon after snack, homework, and feeding Gwynn we all decided to go to the Horse Park for a jog/bike ride! Yes, I know I'm crazy! It was fun though. 1 jogging stroller, 2 bikes on training wheels, 2 miles, and 1 crazy mommy!
\
Halfway and we're still smiling! The first mile is a nice downhill slope....but we had to turn around and go back!

Half way up the first hill and Layne had to "fix her shoes and shake her legs". She struggled, but she kept moving! I was proud of her.
]
Gotta keep hydrated!

"Maybe I can handle this last hill with no shoes mommy." The socks are thanks to Pap! We got a package in the mail from him today....days of the week socks for both girls! They LOVE them!

Finally finished....notice Layne's pose!

When ya gotta go ya gotta go!

The Growing Girl

This is what I get to see peaking out of the back of the jogging stroller when I run. Tiny little baby feet!! Love it! She still doesn't mind going on my runs with me, which is awesome. Yesterday once I dropped the girls off at school I decided not to go running because it was sprinkling and looked like there was more rain to come. Later in the morning I decided that it was just going to be an overcast day but it would be safe to run. So, we headed to the Horse Park. I was wrong....at my halfway point it started to sprinkle and then sprinkle more sprinkles! Fortunately the stroller has a canopy and the car seat has a canopy so Miss Gwynn was not going to get wet! Mommy was soaked by the time we got back to the car though. Oh well.

FINALLY, I got a good one of Gwynn's beautiful smile! Normally when I take the phone/camera out when she's smiling she starts to look at it like it has 10 eyes so it doesn't make for a good picture. But this morning, I GOT IT! Don't you just love that toothless smile?!

She also showed off her grin too.

Caged

We got Roxy a new blanket for her cage....hopefully she doesn't chew this one to pieces like she's done with the others. The girls were laughing in the laundry room and this is what I found when I walked in!

Three beautiful girls!

I just love my three beautiful babies!!
